How come HBO did not show unofficial fightnight weights for Cotto/Clottey?

HBO released an official statement saying they don't do it anymore to prevent "natural weight" arguments in NSB :boxing: They realized those threads get so long they bog down the server and don't result in anything worthwhile. I'm not surprised. I think fight night weight is as important, if not more important, than official weights. Boxing has to raise the level of transparency, we don't want another Gatti-Gamache on future opponents of Cotto or Clottey. I agree on that.

wieght classes are really becoming a joke.

They didn't want Clottey to break the scales... he usually weighs near 170 on fight night! :D and you think cotto don't stay around that weight? lol

i believe they said during the broadcast that new york doesn't do unofficial weights for any fight or something to that effect Yeah apparently they only bother with that in Vegas

they do it selectively. i dont think there is a specific order to it. its just random.
