I have the same score as you Cotto, 114-113
I thought Cotto won 1,3,6, 10,11,12 however.
Clottey won 2,4,5, 7,8,9.
This fight could've been a draw if Mercante took away the punch to the back of the head or the low blow, but the difference was the knockdown in the 1st.
Clottey just didn't do it in the championship rounds.
see?haha, seems like the difference in our scorecards were the 2 close rounds i mentioned............like i said other than those 2 rounds, fight was clear as the day.......................gonna have to rewatch it again to decide who won those 2 rounds.............but i think giving 1 and 1 is fair, so yeah, cotto 114-113.
cotto 114-113.....he won rounds 1,3,4,6,11 and 12.
the only 2 somewhat close rounds were the 4th and the 10th........cotto did enough to win round 4, didnt do enough to steal round 10 imo.............but its more possible to give cotto round 10 than giving clottey round 4................
cotto clearly won 114-113 i wont say people who gave it to cotto 115-112/113 are wrong...............no way clottey won...
had the tools to do it, but just aint smart enough..................he blew it.
jesus ****en christ are you serious. really it must be all puto ricans with those scores. clottey dominated eight to four minus the knockdown. so eight to five. clottey easily, one sixteen to one eleven is so laughable its a travesty. I talk so much shit to mma fans and there excuse is always is boxing is rigged. I guess they shut me up now.
Clottey by a few rounds. Not tough to score. Hometown gift. Find me 116-111to give Cotto. Do it. Clottey landed many more punches and the better punches. Clear as day. Gift.
Man I thought CLottey was gonna stop him....SMFH.....Clottey is one lazy mutha****a dog...He could've , Should've but he didn't....Miguel Cotto earned that shit..he outworked him and he won the last round. The knockdown, workrate, and last rlound won him the fight...Clottey gave away the last round, and could've won if he would've just thrown more punches, he was thinking so defensively that he lost...when he fought Judah, Judah was winning til it was stopped due to the cut. Why, workrate...he gets lazy. Either way it was close but Miguel earned it.
Now it's gonna be Cotto vs Pacquaio because Bob arum wont wanna give Floyd 60/40 and Floyd ain't taking 40 or 50 50...I expect Cotto to beat Pacman and it be Cotto vs Mayweather.
As for CLottey...Mosley, Berto, or MArgarito.
pretty mush had it 114-113 for Clottey but i had to factor in the KD and the fact that Cotto was handicapped from rd 4 on so i definately need to rescore this one,
props to both fighters.
I had Cotto by a single round. 114-113 - same score as Lederman, although I got there a different way.
It was a very, very close fight, but I felt Clottey threw it away with his performance in the final three rounds. He barely threw any punches, yet he didn't seem fatigued. Cotto was still there for the taking with right hands and Clottey didn't take the advantage.
I thought both the Judges who scored for Cotto were way out and must have been swayed by the Rican crowd.
I was impressed with the way Cotto dealt with the cut, but I wasn't that impressed by the performance as a whole. The jury is still out on whether he can get back to the very top again.

I look at it this way. Clottey has no one to blame but himself. He should have been more offensive-minded and thrown more punches. How many times did he have Cotto against the ropes and Cotto got the first punch off? How many times did he hit Cotto and back off instead of continuing the assault? He knew what he was up against with Cotto basically fighting in his second home. He knew he had to be really impressive to win a decision and on top of that he had a slightly handicapped fighter in front of him. Where were the right hand leads and why didn't he even attempt to go to the body since he felt that Cotto was running? Bottom line it was a close fight and in the 12th with the fight on the table he did jack squat. He deserves what he got.
it was a close fight, but clottey got knocked down and he lost the 12th.
I don't think clottey got robbed.
I had clottey winning going into the eleventh round by a point. No matter what I think every one would agree it was either an even fight or clottey or cotto by 1 point prior to the 11th.
The real question is who won the championship rounds which were the 11th & 12th.
I had cotto taken the 11th because while they both landed the same amount, I felt cotto was the aggressor.
The 12th round cotto easily won because that was a bullshit round by clottey and he knows it. the guy did everything in his power to not fight and coast through the round
In the end it was 114-113 for Cotto on my card. Clottey gave that the last two rounds away.
Also I think judges should be held accountable by some type of sancioning body and scores like the two we say tonight should get them either banned or suspended from scoring boxing matches.
I gave the fight to Cotto, 115-113... Same as Harold Lederman's except that I gave the 11th to Cotto.
But MAN.. It was close... Who did you have?
it was a close fight, but clottey got knocked down and he lost the 12th.
I don't think clottey got robbed.
I had Clottey by 2 points. There was 2 rounds I thought that could have gone either way, other than that the rounds were very apparent as to who won them. I gave both rounds to Clottey because in one he landed more, maybe not the effective shots, and the other one was a a draw for landing but I saw Clottey landing flusher, even though Cotto had a couple hard shots.
