you can see clottey is working on cutting off the ring, he's expecting cotto to move alot. clottey is definitely looking to put pressure on cotto but pick his spots when he punches.
since clottey is looking to pick his spots, cotto can win easy if he moves when clottey wants to punch and punch when clottey wants to move, but cotto should definitely potshot to conserve energy.
very lite work out tho.
also he's not working on throwing enough uppercuts I feel and he should be throwing overhand rights not straight rights hands.
the head movement is good, the guard is good, and clottey blocks the left hook to the body good.
cotto maybe able to jab clottey gut tho, but that punch really isn't in cotto's repetoire.
after watching both guys' padwork, I think its gonna be a very slow paced but exciting fight which favors cotto. Another thing I noticed was that both guys pad work is so slow and measured. if you watch pac and pbf's pad work they are working hard and fast. I guess that's why pac and pbf are p4p #1.
I don't like clottey's final remarks. he has no sense of urgency about getting the KO. I mean, he has a good reason why because it might cause him to make mistakes, but he definitely should be trying to get the KO.
that's why I think cotto will win a close decision.
Clottey looked good in his workouts, as did Cotto.
This should be a great fight!!! Until that Clottey bodyshot I predicted in the 9th or 10th of course..:boxing:
Thanks for the video....I must admit he is really big for a WW.....However being "BIG" doesn't win fights.....He has average speed, the thing is on training everyone looks fast and is easy to trow like that when you know they mits are not going to hit you back.....We do know one thing: Cotto has shown his speed and power.....Clottey, not so much.....It should be interesting......also is funny how he said if he win the fight but Cotto gets a gift from the judges he will tell Arum to release him.....lol.....can he bee that naive?
I wouldnt say his speed is average cuz hes pretty fast imo. The only thing is he cant keep up that speed..Its probably due to being so muscular which makes him gas easily...I dunno.
I think he may have just pulled his back... was rather strange though, if it's his ribs he'll be wincing alot more Saturday
I think both will be landing all night, but Cotto being the faster and more active fighter getting a wide UD
yeah, I just dont like how he made a display of it. Hide it...unless you're planning to use it as an excuse later.
There's an interesting part arund the 5 minute mark when Clottey is working the pads. After throwing a combination he grimaces and steps away to the side.
I saw that too. WTF was that all about? No excuses!
I think he means that only inches short of his life are means of stopping the fight.
Hoenstly I think it will be a bit more tactical. Cotto won't be willing to go to war. He'll use his smarts and try to box.
Only if it's really tight will you see both guys selling out for the KO.
Clottey better not feckin' quit!
:nonono:
That isn't what he meant, I'm sure he is only telling the truth. Theirs no point dying in that ring, people are ****ing insane to call cotto a quitter after going to war with Margarito. Why fans want a boxer to risk their healths even more if they realize they don't have anything left in the tank. Btw, who ever wins this fight its most likely going to be by decision. I see it playing out as a chess match but an entertaining one.
What is wrong with that guy at the end? Hey Clottey, you have such a beautiful waste, what do you eat, do you have a hard time buying a suit.
OMG! I would have kicked this fool in the teeth.
Hey Clottey, I noticed you blend right into your shirt, is that some kind of camouflage? lol
Good work on the pads! The first interviewer is on crack or what? LOL
love clottey! the first interviewer is definitely on crack though hahahahahahahaha
good left hook, cotto better watch out.
After 4:30, did I understand it correctly...
Did he say that if he was taking lots of punches and felt like dying, he would quit like Cotto did?
Yeah that's exactly what he said.....there is certain things in life I will never understand....this is one of them :nonono:

What kind of ****ing question is that in the first interview? So their will be no quitting? Like a boxer chooses if they want to quit, its called they get the shit kicked out of them so much that their body basically forces them to quit. Its very rare when you see a fighter just purposely quit. Cotto did not ****ing quit against Margarito, but some people think you should fight until you die in that ring and that is quite sick.
