Right, first of all I mean no disrespect towards Tyson I thought he was a great fighter... and I wish him all the best after his loss.
But, I have heard over and over again that he is in debt (common knowledge), but he still seems to live a high life of some sort... obviously not like De La Hoya or Floyd but he still lives too good for me to be able to say he is broke.
Can somebody explain to me please cause it just confuses me... if he is in debt how can he be able to live the way he does?
His part in The Hangover wasn't funny in the actual movie because the trailer was on every 25 minutes. But yeah Mike is still finding ways to stay relevant.
i love it when the nerdy guys like "I think deep inside Mike Tyson is a sweetheart" and the guy that got ktfo was like "...i think he's mean" :) looool. i downloaded that movie it's so funny.
He's not as broke as people think, he won a settlement a few years back from Don King for $14 million. Plus with the movie apperances, his documentary, video games he's looking at some good income coming in. He bought a house in Henderson a few years back and is just living a quiet life, he's always at restuarants and at fights here in Vegas.

dunno, hard to say. I remember a few years ago they were saying he lived on the streets, so I'm assuming that meant he was dollarless broke. I'll never know if that was true or not.
But he has a documentary that just came out, and I'm unsure how much royaltties are being paid to him for it. At the most I'm thinking 10 million.
what's weird is how is he in debt, and how much. Assuming he made hundreds of millions of dollars, Im not sure what he owes. Credit card bills? loans? mortgage? lawyers? I dont see him as a business venture type person, normally one gets into debt by borrowing huge amounts of money and their venture goes no where.
Im thinking he paid everything check/cash/debit, since he had millions in the bank. I dunno who he borrowed from and what he owes..... Im just confused by it all.
Ali is still making hundreds of millions to this day off his name, and Tyson is still the 2nd most recognizable name in boxing. Maybe one day he'll crawl out of his unknown debt and live lavishly again.
its a matter of relativity...
when you go from making 50 mil in a couple of fights to about 80-90 thousand(just a guess) a year you become whats is known in laymans terms(rich folks terms) as broke.
Good point, he is broke compared to how rich he used to be... but still far from what people like us would call broke.

i'm assuming he lives cheque to cheque or something, as the other guy said he'll always have work enough that he won't starve or be out of home or anything
Hes Mike Tyson.......one of the most famous and most recognizeable men in the world.
Hell always be able to make money......
Interviews....video games..speeches..talk shows...books....hell just using Mike Tysons name he gets paid..like ali did with his name
I know that, but if he can make this money which he can... how can he still be considered broke? Its just confusing me, do you get what I mean? If he was broke wouldn't he just earn all the money to pay off those debts then he wouldn't be considered broke anymore.
