After seeing Ruslan Chagaev fail to make the bell for his showdown with Valuev, it appears the heavyweight trend is once again in full effect as David Haye backed out of his showdown with Wladimir Klitschko, citing injury. The troubling thing about this whole scenario was the fact that the stories from Haye's camp were initially conflicted. Some sources reported a hand injury, others reported that it was his back - which is now confirmed - but of all the reports, the ones which came from actual sparring partners in the camp (David Price in particluar) are perhaps the ones that most will find as a link to the truth. According to Price, Haye was "fine" when he last saw him, and hours later the camp was shut down and the sparring help was informed that they could return home. Playing devils advocate isn't always a great thing, particularly when it comes to questioning someones integrity, but sources close to the fighter have gone public with sentiments that say Haye's decision actually had more to do with the fact that U.K. sports satellite station Setanta's money trouble has finally caught up with them and they're literally on the brink of going bust. This theory is supported by Setanta's request that Haye take a reduction on their original contractual agreement for the pay he would receive in the fight. Whatever the case may be, perhaps we'll never know, but what we do know is that once again politics have won and defeated the desire of fans to see the best fights happen. Bummer.

That's a thought, but I got another theory... he had an injured back... :D
Maybe that's because he actually did have a bad back.
Lol, I was questioning him at every opportunity, For some reason i didnt believe he was injured, I kept thinking why was he walking like that!!! Why was he been careful when sitting down etc But like i said earlier i think i was paranoid.
I heard a rumor that his girlfriend was rushed to the hospital to have a corn dog removed from her vagina. Apparently she got lonely in Haye's absence and stimulated herself with a corn dog. The stick broke and it had to be surgically removed.
I dont for some reason, He walked in like he wanted people to know he had a bad back, He sat down like that as well.......Maybe am paranoid lol

yeah, but that might ruin his relationship with sentanta.
Fuk em! They're going bankrupt anyway! Given his style and breath of fresh air he bring's to the Boooooooring HW division, i'm sure he can come to the states and sign a deal with HBO.
That is assuming he didn't actually have a back problem.
I watched his interview.. he seemed very genuine. I definitely believed him.

He did pull out because setanta wasnt sure how they were going to pay him, Thats why they asked him to take a pay cut which he refused and i dont blame him. That monies was the only pay he would have got from the whole Klits deal and if he had gone into the fight with that issue he would have got KO for nothing.
If they went back on thier contractual agreement as far as money goes, then its hard to blame him. He should've at least been honest, and told the fans the real reason.

Well to be honest, not getting paid is an even better reason to pull out of a fight than injury. If Setanta doesn't pay him Haye gets nothing.

He talked so much sh-t about Klitschko to get the fight and trashed my guy along the way.
He talked his way into a heavyweight title fight that he sure didn’t earn it in the ring.
And then he pulls out for whatever reason. I guess he got a yeast infection!
...............
Wow........ who the hell really knows.
Maybe he hurt his back AND they screwed his pay.
I dont know what to believe, but one thing is for sure. There's something really fishy about this pull-out.
