Does the Welterweight Division need PacMan?

Whether you like it or not, you have to admit that the welterweight division needs manny. Listen to mayweather, cotto, mosley, margarito and most recently clotey, all they talk about is a fight with pacquio. My question is, can you blame them? Boxing is not only a sports, its also business. i disagree. the WW division is pretty deep and those guys can make money on their own. they don't need to constantly beg pac for a fight. pac is not and never intended to campaign at 147 lbs.

Pac has already done his share of moving up....more than any of the current greats that we have. In fact at least these challengers doesn't have to move all the way to 140. They could come at least 142-144. Again if you're concerned abt the WW division then you should be slagging Mosley, Mayweather, Margie etc for not fighting each other and seeking the smaller man. DLH was fighting at 154. Pac's last fight before this was at 135, 2 divisions lower. DLH wanted the fight and 147 wasn't even the middleground. Pac was way below the limit at the weigh-in at 142. in the hatton fight, he was 138 w/ bfast. now do you really think when PAC fought DLH that he was a true WW? Ok and since you know all this.....who was the heavier guy coming fight night?

The reason I make this question is simple: The reality is who needs who? Let's make it clear PFM will get the others (Cotto,SSM,PW) just as much of not even more recognition and money as if they were to fight Manny.So why people are under the impression that the welterweights need Pacquiao? Why do they need to agree on a "catch weight"? if you can fight at WW then fine, stay on Jnr.
