I'm hearing some credible info that Bute will travel to England to fight Froch on September 5.
DO you believe this will happen?
WIll Froch get his head boxed off or KO Bute in the 12th like he did to Taylor?
Then you are mistaken. I put the word "some" for a reason. I'm a future lawyer, so I understand the power of words and I don't use one instead of another. While writing my post, I thought that if I didn't say "some", someone would say that I am making a stereotype... Don't worry, I don't think americans are all stupid or racists or whatever. On the contrary, most americans I've met are really nice persons.
I was really going for a bait on my part. It was called out by Dirk. Nice talking to you tho.
Some=all in my book.........:rofl:

Taranazan educate me
in the bute/andrade fight, i think i seen it on azteca america streaming(boy that sounds wierd but i watched it with compos of boxingscene), the commentators said that. and i heard that on fnf too.
but i believe you when you say about different provinces( i take that means like states). and then my short sightedness of not considering canadians fighting meaningless showcases in europe and the eastern block.
of coarse gentleman gatti is an exception.
man i think your wrong about the bute/andrade
In Bute-Andrade, the three judges were: Alex Levin, Benoit Roussel and Mickey Vann. Roussel is canadien, but the other two aren't.
Yes, provinces are like states. In Canada, both the Canadien and the Province (Montreal is in the province of Quebec, Toronto is in the province of Ontario) have their own areas where they can make laws. In this case, it is the Province who can make a law about sports. So the law will be different in each province.
I am pretty sure that fnf and azteca made a mistake. I've just checked the legislation in Quebec and there is no such thing.
Froch does have some brass ones, but he needs to tone it down a bit in his PR management. At least he hasn't spoke about Calzaghe in the last hour, which is always a good sign.
True, he hadn't spoken about Joe. And as much as I like him, I think when he called out joe to "get up out of his armchair" that really tarnished his win against Taylor. Thankfully, however, he's since said he's not going to call out Joe again and has accepted the fact he's retired, and was actually rather gracious about it (a rarity for Carl when speaking of Calz). I'll link if I can find but if not, it's on the BBCs site under 'boxing'.
Oh abolutely. Chap's one of my favourite fighters and one of the things I respect about the lad most is that he's willing to travel to fight. He said he'd fight Bute in Candada, BHop in Philly (he would lose though... badly) and Kessler in Copenhagen, and we all know it's pretty much impossible to get a fair decision in Europe, so he'd obvi. have to get a KO. However, I'm just saying I don't fault him for attempting to relocate outside of the UK.

It is still a risk to fight outside of your hometown/nation so Froch should be commended.

Regarding your reply, a lot of the reason that English fighters like to fight outside of the UK is that we're so bloody socialist now... and mister Gordon Brown's gov't in their infinite wisdom just passed a measure that requires anybody earning over 150k pounds a year pays 50 per cent in taxes, so a lot of fighters who have residence outside the UK (like Haye, who resides in Cyprus) prefer not to collect their revenue domestically. In fact, Froch actually discussed this about a week and a half ago....

I think you may be taking the minority of posters on this forum a bit too seriously. There are over 300,000,000 Americans lets not stereo type a whole population, as it is foolish.

He did say that only "some" of the Fat Yanks said that
I know there have been alot of americans who have traveled. I never said there wasn't. I simply underlined that some of the bigger names in the game never fought outside the US, because I always hear from some american fans that "Euro bums" or Canadiens, or English fighters don't want to fight outside their country. And if I did talk about american fighters, it's because there are some american fans who think that a fighter can't be considered great if he hasn't fought in the US. Those fans always complain that foreign fighters don't want to travel to the US. So I gave some exemples of american fighters who didn't travel, to prove than they were not better (neither are they worse) than a fighter of another country who doesn't fight outside his own country.

I never did complain about Bute, the point is there have been plenty of yanks who have traveled. I would wager a bet that you couldn't name one fighter outside of the US that fought around the world as much as Winky did. Also, the person you responded to didn't mention anything about fighting in the US so there may be a bit of insecurity showing on your part with that issue.

Props to them to have travelled. I just wanted to show that while so many americans complain that fighters of Canada, UK, Europe, Australia, etc. never fight outside their own country, there are plenty of US stars who have never done it either. I never complained that Jones fought only in the US. He's an american, and was the biggest draw. But don't come and complain that Bute doesn'r fight outside Canada, because in all his fights, he was the bigger draw as well. Now he has the possibility to get a unification bout, so he'll travel to get it.
I hate the fact that some american fans think that to be the best, you have to fight in the US. Judges aren't more corrupted in Canada, UK or US. A in in Canada is just as valuable than a win in the US against the same fighter.

Why don't Americans fight outside the US?
Chad Dawson only fought in the UK once while Hopkins fought in Ecuador to obtain his belt but never returned there on vacation. Steve Cunningham fought outside the US a measly four times, twice in Poland where he received his belt, then in Germany and once in South Africa. It is quite pitiful to be honest. Winky Wright is another sad example. How can a fighter only leave his country twenty times? Sad, truly sad. Timothy Bradley only went over to obtain his belt from Witter in the UK because of Junior's sick father. The mental advantage was too much to pass up. I am sure there are more examples of American cowardess but I don't have the time to type it up.

If he fights Hopkins, he is a hypocritical cunt.
I disagree. I hope he fights hopkins. I'm a huge froch fan, but i'm not an idiot..... he would lose to Hopkins, and BADLY. However, it's a fight i'd like to see, and I think that Froch's impending loss to hopkins (If the fight happens) will actually make him a better boxer.
You don't know what you are talking about. There is no Canadien law about boxing. Every province has its own legislation. In Quebec, it is the "Régie des sports, des alcools et des jeux" who is in charge, and there is no such rules. In 4 of Bute's last 5 fights, there was 2 foreign judges (including the Andrade fight).
As for the "no canadien want to fight outside Canada". Bute, Gatti, Dorin, Lucas, Diaconu, Demers, Pascal, Gaudet, Ngoudjo, Alcine all fight out of Quebec and all fought in foreign soil.
RJJ, Tarver, Taylor, Pavlik, Paul Williams, Forrest, Mosley, De la Hoya, Mayweather never fought a single fight outside the US. Did yo ever complain about it?
So how can you say that canadiens don't want to fight outside Canada?

are you kidding me?
bute not fighting in canada.
hey, you guys aren't going to believe me. someone back me up.
in canada, by law, two of the three judges have to be canadian.
i sht you not.
these canadians to get them to fight out of canada is as far out as the britts fighting out of u.k.

Money talks.
The stronger currency could well sway his decision.
Froch is a power-puncher who sometimes applies pressure, Andrade is pressure-fighter who sometimes punches with power. They are very similar in my eyes.
I think Bute can outbox anybody in that division though, even the recently retired Joe Calzhage.
I see this as being a carbon copy of Bute-Andrade and Froch-Taylor.
Do you think Hennesey would approve of Marlon Wright refereeing a fight in England?
So you think Froch is as effective as Andrade in the pressure department?
