....Herbie Hide with a chin.
Honestly though, if Hide had of had even a decent chin, he'd have been a nightmare for anyone. How many heavyweights have had that speed and power combined with that movement?
That's why the Klitschkos' are hard to beat: someone needs to have it all, or close to it. In Vitali's case anyway, as he's hard to knock out.
Not sure if he could move like that for 12 rounds against a much bigger man in Vitali.
I remember he ran out of gas against Bowe as well and was knocked out by punches that didn't seemingly land.
He got a bit nervous if I remember? I'll check it out again.
Nah, all he needed was a chin. The height and reach doesn't matter when you're as fast as that with that sort of movement. The power was there, so no need for a bigger frame.
Remember the Bowe fight? He did well early on there, so the inches didn't matter. His chin was the only downfall.
Surprising as it may seem now, Hide was actually the favourite going into the Klitschko fight. Frank Warren said afterwards that Hide didn't prepare right and only had himself to blame. lol.

i saw an interview with tim witherspoon about 6 months ago and he was very confident he would have beaten the klitschkos
It would have been interesting to see how the Mercer who fought Holyfield and Lewis would have done. Wlad fought him 6-7 years too late.
Good old herbie..The only dude i know to drive around norwich in a black bmw with him being black himself and having no insurance..Thats got pull me written all over it..
Anyhow suprised he stepped up and offered Vlad a fight
Herbie Hide with a chin, heart, a natural heavyweight frame, 2 inches in height and 5 in reach.
He did do well against Vitali for a round, until being knocked out by a grazing jab.
