and just when the brits thought they were coming up....
Calzaghe retires.
Hatton gets absolutely decimated and exposed. It becomes an embarrassment of gargantuan proportions to the UK and the Hatton fans.
Haye writes checks with his mouth, and we find out his ass couldn't cash them. He was their last hope. And boy, what a longshot of a hope he was. Him backing out today was the proverbial nail in the coffin...
My condolences...
Now I know some of you might come in here saying you still have your 2nd stringers, Froch and Khan, but are you REALLY confident in them two? No. You're not.
In fact, I know you know in your heart of hearts, deep in the middle of all your nationalistic bias and blindness, that they are both destined to fail...
I'm thinking it will take at least 10 years for british boxing to rise from the grave again...
he is only 31 years old, he could easily fight for another 7 years, easily. jermaine taylor is 1 year younger and he is shot, he will porbably get ktfo by abraham and the pull out of the tournament and retire. its not all about the age...
Froch's fight style would not let him last another 6 years. Especially at the level he is now at, considering the competitors he is due to face in the 'super six' tourny. I'd give him 3 or 4 years depending how he fairs in the tournament.
Khan will get destroyed the next time he fights a world class foe. I like Froch. He has a ton of heart
Yeah...Khan is doomed.
and I like Froch as well....he's the most entertaining fighter they've had in yeeeaaarrrsss...wants to prove himself...comes to fight...talks shit and backs it up.
Too bad he's long in the tooth and on his way out...he will most definitely lose in that "Best Of The B Division" tourney...

....and yet Khan won a title. Doesn't matter how he got there, fact is we have 2 World Titlists for now.....
Kell Brook, Nathan Cleverly, Billie Joe Saunders, Frankie Gavin. The New World Order.

and if THAT isn't enough....
Setanta goes under. They only get to watch domestic club fights.
Witter quits.
It's OVER. You're DONE.
Bumped because I saw this photo and want to make the Mexicans feel better...

It wouldn't be the first time he'd just blinked away would it? Come on now :lol1:
I'm sure he'll fight atleast one more midget after JMM though, most probably Calderon. LOL!
So I take it you're not a fan. Why? Are you saying he's not skilled?
Hopkins = Highest ranked Yank fighter. FACT :lol1:
Your two P4P fighters are 44 and 38. You'll have nothing soon enough. LOL!
So when they go away will Floyd just blink into nothingness? Just wondering.
I think boxing in general is having a shit year, who gives a **** if they're British or not. Theres not enough good match ups being made and too many good fighters fighting once or twice a year.
Why would i speak German? Our owning them from 39-45 made sure we wouldn't. LOL!
It's sad that yanks try to claim Puerto Rican boxers as their own. Face it, you're best fighter is 44 years old and he got Calzaghe'd :lol1:
It's sad that you don't seem to understand that Puerto Rico is part of America. They vote for our president.
Face it, Ricky Hatton got knocked out by Mayweather. I mean, really, who gets KO'd by Mayweather?
