The key would be to get top notch sparring if you don't have a long amateur career.
It really depends on how long he has been learning and how fast he develops as a fighter technically, physically, and mentally.
Yeah true hopefully for his sake he gets in a lot of sparring. Would be good to see him doing well for himself few years on, good name to have in boxing.
Then the title is very misleading.
Don't think jmc617 meant that G-Man Jr is on BoxingScene but rather that he's now on the boxing scene as he's about to turn pro... I can see how the title could be misleading.
Off-topic but I thank jmc617 for his efforts to make boxing available for everyone on youtube. :notworthy
Yeah I know what you mean, man. Kinda like they had done wth Chavez Junior maybe. But the difference there is Junior's dad was rich, and this kid here might not be keen on waiting around when theres money to be made.
Its a shame he cant get more amateur experience first.

They should go Old School and build him up slow. Take Marcaino for example: He didn't have a big amateur career at all so when he turned pro, they built him up slow. He had 42 fights when he fought for the Title.
You have the same with many of the Mexican fighters and others.

Wow, didn't see this coming.
According to that article there he'll only have had 11 or 12 amateur fights by the time he goes pro...
