Merchant has by far the best fight analogies and metaphorical comparisons.
They are so simple, and metaphorical for the sake of being metaphorical, that they are hilarious. I don't remember the last time he talked about a "diamond in the rough" or something similar that I wasn't laughing out loud...
Larry Merchant voice makes me want to fall asleep, who else is getting fking tired of him ? :Flush:
Larry is Old and should have maximum tolerance. Quite irritating though, he just wants the interviewee to answer his questions, then swerves the mic from you afterwards, with no consideration if you want to add final statements of your own.
merchant makes me puke, hes so slow that margarito and angulo look
like thunder when they move their heads.simple as that
Thunder is the sound made by lightning.
his nonsensical statements and akward cadence make me think he should probably retire, but he doesn't make me wanna go to sleep. In fact my ears perk up whenever I hear him start to blather. Kind of like your eyes widen at the site of a trainwreck.
I don't agree with everything Merchant says, but I love the fact that he will speak out against the boxing establishment. When he believes he smells something rotten, he will say so for the world to hear.
He is old school in that he likes go forward fighters, but everyone has their preferences.
I also don't think he speaks too low. I think it is Lampley screaming constantly and finishing everyone's sentences. Lampley pisses me off. One of the other guys notices something and starts to give their analogy, then Lampley speaks over them and finishes it. Lampley loves the sound of his own voice too much IMO.
I think he's the best commentator in the world, so...nope.
Merchant has by far the best fight analogies and metaphorical comparisons. He usually is on point with his predictions and is not afraid to call a guy out.
The best by far.....war Merchant:boxing:
his voice is so low and he talks slowly and during an average round he can turn the fight into pure boredom. ITS BOXING DAMNIT !!! HBO should stick to RJJR, jim lampley and those type of guys and let larry commentate golf or something
