In only his 16th pro fight, still deserved a Draw against former World Champion, Kermit Cintron, who happened to walk into the ring last night at Light Heavyweight. Cintron was 15 pounds over Jr Middle last night and Alfredo still almost made him cry in the 12th round.
The ref should have taken a point away from Cintron for excessive bitch holding, which would have made Angulo the deserving winner of the fight by one point. And if, Cintron wasn't allowed to do all that bitch holding in the last few rounds, Angulo would have stopped him.
Angulo won the 2nd and 5th and swept the last 4 rounds. He deserved a Draw last night.
If Kermit was sick, I'm sure he would have pulled out of the fight. Props to Angulo for coming to fight, regardless of how he felt, making no excuses and taking the fight straight to Light Heavyweight, Kermit Cintron.
A healthy Perro makes Kermit cry.

Don't be such a bitch and a sore loser. Kermit beat the man clearly. He wasn't sick, the ref did a good job, he didn't win the last 4 rounds and it wasn't a draw. On top of all that even Angulo doesn't agree with you, he knew he lost.

4 excuses, plus the "if's" and the "almost's" makes this post a pathetic excuse for a sore loser.
For the record, Angulo won rounds 5, 8, 9, and 12. The second round i had it as a tied pending to be watch again. Angulo clearly was outboxed and was lucky Kermit could not set in time to finish him when El Perro was hurt.
Last but not least, if Angulo were really sick, he would have gotten KTFO. Stop the hate, stop the bullshi-t excuses...
guys
you do realize that this was a good and exiting fight. full of action and it was not as one sided as you guys thinkg. only 15 pro fights and taking on veteran opponents is not bad. he did give Kermit a run for his money and i would love a rematch.
angulo did good for his 16th fight.......
man... they should get horold ledderman the fck outta HBO... i know he aint the official... but fck... this dude is biased as fck..... how in the world would u give the 12th round 2 cintron....
smh...
lerold lederman ur wack...
"OKAY JIM!!!"
You are too easilly impressed..
You act like Bunema was Hagler.
Martinez is a shit fighter and will get his block knocked off in the near future.
This, ladies and gentleman, is what we call the straw person fallacy.
This man is trying to make his argument seem even remotely valid by completely mischaracterizing mine.
In truth, I didn't say Bunema was Hagler or even elite, but... he did just come off of a knockout win over highly ranked Roman Karmazin, which is why he was ranked highly.
Martinez did a trillion times better than Karmazin did against Bunema.
I'm just saying Martinez clearly is a good fighter, and if you don't want to give him credit for it, that's fine...
I'll just say... go ahead and wait, and we'll see what happens. I'm confident your mind will be changed.

Cintron won the fight. He controlled the pace and Angullo only came alive as Cintron was fading away a bit. But by then I had Cintron winning 115-113. Angullo may have been sick, but he has poor defense. I can't imagine what would happen in fights with him and say Paul Williams or even Vernon Forrest.
perro ****ed up by not throwing a lot of punches, he usually throws much more punches in his fights. idk why he didnt, his corner was even telling him to throw more punches. you cant be that none productive with that style because angulo cant box
angulo probably had trouble making weight.either way, I've never been amped about the guy cause he's so average.in an age where they use all kindsa shit to make a fighter look better than he is, he's subpar.his footwork is ass, his defense was trash, his punching technique was doodoo.he's just a bad fighter.i knew the minute he'd get in there with someone who could box(lol at kermit actually trying to) he'd lose.kermit box better than he usually does, martinez, would have worked his ass badly.
maybe he does have an excuse, maybe he did have swine flu, it doesn't change the fact that he isn't very good.
Jordan was KTFO by Conyers before Martinez fought him.
Martinez was sloppy and gassed against Cintron.
He is getting hyped for beating Bunema and Cintron...it goes to show just how much influence the announcers have over the viewers.
Martinez AINT SHIT.
You should watch fights with the volume turned down.
Cintron made him look awkward, but he clearly won.
I can't imagine anyone could think anything different watching the Bunema fight with or without the sound... he slaughtered him in about as one-sided of a fight that I've ever seen.

LOL keep tellin yourself that, you'd be an awful lawyer...Perro got schooled. The only crying done on Saturday was by you, clown lol.
I haven't ever heard of Russell Jordan and i doubt he is on the level of Paul Williams. Martinez is a very good boxer though and would cause Williams problems with his movement and counter punching. I do think Williams constant pressure, high workrate and underated boxing ability would give him the victory but still it would be a interesting fight to watch with a good clash of styles.
He's not... he's not very good... BUT, he has 10 foot long arms like Williams, and Martinez was just timing him to death.
It's obviously not a great indicator on how the fight would go, but it did prove that Martinez's speed/timing does have a chance against Williams's length.
Lol, Martinez was an infant when Margarito beat him. Watching Martinez against Russell Jordan showed me that he knows that timing can beat reach if he does it right... it'd be interesting.
I haven't seen Sergei fight either, but EVERYONE I have heard from says he is terrific. The people you would expect to be biased and non-biased alike says he is the Real Deal Holyfield, and beats everyone in the division if he fought them most likely. How cool would a Williams vs. Sergei matchup be if that was true?
I'll PM you The Matrix stuff in a bit.

martinez loss to margarito early in his career and if givin a rematch at this point he would embarass margarito, this is angulo's 16 pro fight and he fought a very good boxer in cintron most fighters are not fighting someone as good as cintron in their 16 pro fight, in my oppinion kirkland has yet to fight someone as good as cintron in his 20+ fight career
You could make the case that Joel Julio is as good, if not better than Cintron... neither has really gotten it done on the top level.
Relax on bashing Angulo! It was only his 16th pro fight and dude was sick. ITS ONLY 1 LOSS and it wasn't like he got blown out of the water it was pretty close fight.
it wasnt really a close fight some rounds may have seemed a little close , i still respect angulo and would like to see him fight kirkland

Enough with the excuses. Angulo was a mediocre prospect to begin with, this style doesn't work anymore, the only one that could pull it off was Margarito and he is suspect now. In any case, even if he defeated Cintron as expected, Martinez, Santos and Williams would outbox and maybe even KO him, this is a bad division for a no-defense-all-pressure kind of fighter.
