Pavlik Resigns With Top Rank

Kelly Pavlik has resigned with Top Rank and the organization will continue to promote him for the next several years. Sports Director Dana Balash spoke to Top Rank President Bob Arum Tuesday night and he tells him that they have signed a multi year contract with Pavlik. Arum wouldn't be specific on years and would only say they'll have more details when they announce his next fight. Arum hopes Pavlik will fight again sometime in September. So does this mean that we will see nothing but Sergio Moras, Gary Locketts, and Rubios for Pavlik opponents for the future. I am a fan of Pavlik but his quality of opposition as of late has rubbed me the wrong way about him. And I'm a little bit disappointed in this news to be honest. Arum just won't do the things necessary to let him become a great fighter. How are we going to get a fight between him and Paul Williams if Arum and Haymon keep acting like douchebags. Of course the fight with Abraham should be a priority since Arthur is struggling with 160, but I even got my doubts about that fight happening. I have nothing against Rubio mixed in there. he is a veteran contender who deserved a shot. You are correct on the others though.
