Ive never seen a lot of this stuff before.
look how many stats there are for this game, its surprising. I like the fact that there are seperate stats for each hand power, and then seperate stats for punch accuracy, head movement, block strength, and reflexes(whatever that is for)
the fact that you can create a boxer by uploading their photo is just an awesome idea, I dunno how good it will work though.
The career mode looks fun too. they actually have a calender, amazing, haha.
heres one of my repllays and the controls are on point u cant button mash no more and when u get used to the stick its all good and u cant MASH with the stick its much MUCH more realistic
I thought the game sucked at first, but after a week of playing the demo I think it is pretty solid tbh. I love the fact that it takes more than one punch to drop your opponent after stunning him.
I'm glad you love your little dinky analog stick, thats all great and dandy but I prefer the buttons and I'm not a ****ing button masher if I'm picking my shots. So that word, button masher is an insult to me personally. I can say the same thing about that analog stick as a brawler stick. So you don't want me to call your dinky analog stick a brawler-stick, then stop calling people who prefer buttons button mashers. I don't mash the god damn buttons, I pick my shots.
I have nothing against analog stick users, but alot of them seem like total douchebags who don't understand that everyone likes to play the game a different way. Its nice you got your way, with your analog controls but I personally prefer picking my shots with the buttons not button mashing.
agreed man
the buttons are used with much more tact. double jab right hand....double hooks etc...
its equally as easy to mash with the stick so people need to STFU with that
It has been confirmed, analog only... :thumbsdow And with how sensitive the ps3 analog stick is, you're practically throwing random punches when you want to throw certain ones you might accidentally throw a punch you didn't mean to. And then analog people are such douchebags that they get upset because people don't prefer their control scheme. They are like nerds with guns, they don't understand everyone has a different taste in the way they play games. I personally like picking my shots like throwing a jab and then a right hand.
exactly my point. It just can't be called button smashing since the boxer gets tired when throwing a lot of crazy punches. I have the demo and I just can't throw exactly how i want it to throw them. specially jabs and straights while moving.
I think I read that the UFC game you can save & use up to 100 created fighters. I hope there are good ammount of created fighters you can create & save in Fight night. At least 50.
You will be lucky if you get 5

If the career mode has replay value I'll consider buying it. If not, then forget it...
Round 3 got boring after 1-2 go arounds...
That's because the gameplay sucked, the AI was terrible at every level, and the career mode had you doing shit like fighting Hatton in your 5th pro fight or fighting past fighters like SRR... Not to mention the system of mostly ugly, uncustomizable gear with stat boosters... Random "rivals" who are just as easy to beat as everyone else aside from the fact that they use low blows... "Hard Hits" fights... And so on...
Where did u read that mate?
Just to let everyone know the Demo and Retail Versions are very different many tweaks occured after the demo cause it's taken from an old build of the game....
The tweaks in the Retail Version are as follows:
.....
A few minutes too late.
I don't remember where, but I remember reading that in Legacy Mode, getting into wars take a toll on you and you need more time afterward for rest and getting healed up. And during that time, you might get a call from a promoter because someone pulled out of his fight, asking you to step in. If you're not back in good shape yet it might be a bad idea to take the fight, but if you're confident that you can recover enough to perform then it might be a risk worth taking.
I also noticed in the OP's video (which comes with the demo) that when it mentions the Online stuff like World Championship, there is a selection on the menu called Boxer Share. Hopefully this would be something where you can view and download other people's CAB's. It would be a great addition if that's what it is. EA's Skate 2 has this feature where you can create a Spot to skate at and upload it and share it, and other people download it and skate it and can vote on it. Hopefully it's the same type of thing, where you can download and use the boxer and then rate it out of 5 so that the best ones naturally go to the top.
If you're talking about the footspeed being slow, the dev team has said that they're addressing that issue along with some others.

Couple of quick things that I can speak about right away. First, for those interested timelines, the demo was locked down about 7 weeks ago in early, early April. As you might imagine, the final weeks of development is when a lot of the fine tuning and polishing gets completed. For example, off the top off my head:
1. Stamina. Stamina loss is a little higher and stamina regeneration is a little slower.
2. Punch connections. Landed punch collisions are cleaner and hit reactions have more intensity.
3. Cuts and Swelling. The onset is very fast in the demo. In the final version, depending on your susceptibility to damage you find that you might have several fights without incurring any significant damage - but then when it does happen, it really affects the way your fight plays out between rounds.
4. Punch Animations. Tweaks on many punches occurred after the demo was out the door to address performance/technique issues.
5. Gameplay Audio. The mix in the demo is not great and we know that. Lots of audio work was done in the final 6-7 weeks and it sounds much better.
6. Counter Punch Window. The counter window is roughly the same length, maybe a little shorter in the final version. But we tuned how often you can open it up. They don't happen as often overall.
7. AI Difficulty & Exploits. The final weeks were spent heavily invested in finding AI exploits like the hook spamming, body punch spamming, haymaker spamming, etc. It's tightened up quite a bit. Difficulty on the demo is pretty low, but we did that on purpose so people wouldn't get annihilated their first few fights.
8. Foot Speed & Locomotion. Little bit faster overall, but also behaves much better changing directions and maintaining distance to opponent when moving laterally.
9. HUD & Settings. There is an option to turn off HUD in final game. Options to change camera too. Gameplay sliders to adjust power, damage, speed and CPU behaviors.
10. Miscellaneous Hatton has his new tattoos. Shane Mosley's name is spelled correctly. As mentioned previously, several of the boxers overall ratings have been updated/balanced.
Hope that helps. More info to come when its available.

are you serious? it looks great! look how easy it is to hurt people in this game.
and yet it still looks like its not impossible to regain yourself quickly and come back to win the round.

if you say so, its just a game.
the only thing I disliked about the buttons was the haymaker thing though. all you had to do was press one button and you got to throw one of those super Im stunned instantly punches. which seemed slightly unfair, since it took longer to do that using the joystick.
I find the little joystick thing much more fun. you can put together some pretty good combinations, and it feels natural, not like Im memorizing button orders.
god u should see the Career mode.
You might get last minute calls to fill in undercard fights when a boxer drops off.
They have various titles in each weight classes, so theres unification mega PPV fights.
that sounds awesome. you could probably become an Emmanuel Augustus, and do nothign but fight people in their hometown and on short notice, haha.
the knockouts are pretty nasty in this game too, look much better than the other games.

Oh Okay, thanks I had not heard yet. I am a little disapointed but if the rest of the game makes up for it , I wont mind much.
I used the buttons for round 3 , it just seems a little crisper.
By the way my Xbox live tag is Erikk if any of you want to add me. I also play COD alot.
god u should see the Career mode.
