Manny Pacquiao is a great fighter, and he's proved this in his comprehensive anihilation of ODLH, and Ricky Hatton within the last year. His victories over David Diaz and JMM were also great fights where he displayed a lot of skill.
But there is a clear and obvious degree of delusion among his more fanatical fans, MANY of whom post on this website who seem convinced that after his last few fights he has been elevated to some kind of place where he is untouchable. He wins fights, but in MANY moments in his fights he has lousy footwork, loses his balance, throws wild punches, and displays a general lack of grace that someone like FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. could and will exploit, brutally.
PAC is a CHAMP, and I respect the hell out of him as a fighter and a champion of great humility, so I don't want to hear all of you crazy pac fans start your ****ing crazy defensive bitching, and just try to use your heads.
Your boy is a great fighter, he's aggressive and he's pulled out some good wins in the last year - but you're ****ing delusional if you think that the Manny Pac who beat ODLH and HATTON can beat Mayweather. Full credit for those victories, but the opponents he was facing had nowhere near the timing, boxing intelligence, and speed that Mayweather has and UNLESS Manny and Freddy Roach can improve Manny even more, WHICH THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO DO, I'm not saying it's impossible, but unless they really improve some parts of his game you can and should expect Mayweather to pick Manny's bull-headed aggresion apart with clean shots all night.
Funny how quick people elevate their fighters after a couple of good wins. Reality always brings ya back down.
manny definitely has evolved. but definitely has his flaws. are you saying gayweather, cotto, mosley, or whatever boxer your a fan of has no flaws?
obviously manny and his team has done well to EXPLOIT other boxers flaws. he did this while beating two of floyds biggest most recent fighters. that's why the huge commotion about the two and hopefully will lead the two into the ring.
im a huge pac fan and if other pac fans don't see some flaws then their delusional. but overall as a pac fan, we watched him evolve from a one-dimensional with IMMENSE amount of flaws and now he's down to a few things from the past fights he has to work on.
pac vs pbf.... 60 - 40% chance
why?
pacs on a better roll than pbf based on previous fights and pbf's 18 month layoff.
PACMAN<<<<< overated !!
Now first and foremost dont get me wrong, Pacquiao has come a long ways from his hay days of throwing for the KO with only his left and bouncing around the ring like a chicken with his head cut off and his speed has improved miraculously...but lets look here gents...almost every big name fighter that hes fought have all been on there way down, he did not fight barrera in his prime he did not fight morales in his prime he did not fight hatton in his prime he didnt fight hoya in his prime, and david diaz who really liked that guy anyway !
I mean think about it, hatton who the F### was hatton before he fought mayweather ? and he was already like what 40 something wins with fighters we didnt even know about . So hatton gets none of my credit. Ppl like to talk about cotto but i think cotto and pac would be a great fight because they dont run away and they like to exchange
the marquez - mayweather fight is gonna be boring and its going to go the distance, they are both good counter-punchers and they are pugilists in their own right with tons of experience and smart boxing skills !! theyre defensive skills are there strong suits and they are both gonna be hopping and skipping around the ring
Does mayweather run around the ring and hide ? sure he does but when he connects HE CONNECTS....and remember pacquiao became faster with his speed, mayweather on the other hand has ALWAYS been fast its genetically hardwired in his DNA !! also freddie roach is usually good with finding weaknesses on pacs opponents, how do you find weaknesses from a man who has never lost a fight ? It is certainly going to be the fight to see....every pinoy should be proud of there so called hero for feeding the poor and running for office i guess we all deserve to dream and make change so enjoy the pac wagon for as long as it lasts, cuz once the ride is over its over !! this was never an asian sport !!
Actually, I didn't bet the house on anything - but I did predict exactly how everything would go - including Pac's victories.

So suck, it, Pac fans.
Fantastic lol.. Just goes to show you can't say anything against Pac on here or you'll be lynched lol..
I agree with some of what you say in your original post about Pac. His wins over ODLH and Hatton were impressive, but to say it was pure Manny and not with the aid of clever and effective match making on Roach and Arum's part is wrong IMO. Oscar was only the favourite because of his size, so Pac's team take away the size - Manny weighed more than Oscar on the night. That says it all.
Against Hatton, Roach knew the no defense approach of Ricky was tailor made for Manny, hence his almost correct prediction of a 3rd round KO. Having said that, Manny still had a job to do and he did it in style, so props for him for that.
Mayweather will be a proper test for Manny, his first since JMM and we will truly see what he is made of. He struggled against JMM, but he has improved since then so that can't be seen as an indication that he will struggle against another pure boxer in PBF. Mayweather has to be the favourite, but you should never write Manny off. He keeps proving people wrong, and I can't help but sense he will prove people wrong again against Mayweather.
I think if PBF had real power in his shots, then Manny would have very little chance of winning. But Mayweather isn't a power puncher, and IMO Manny has more power which when combined with his speed and southpaw stance, will pose real problems for Mayweather.

@TS PAC has not been only producing good to great wins for the past year, Manny has been competing at the highest level since 2003 and growing his body to a true 140lb ...
as good as PBF is, he has not fought anyone at PAC's level of speed, power, aggression and heart ...

You must of bet your house on Delahoya and Hatton. Your post have been common considering the destruction of both DLH and Hatton. Obviously you dont realize greatness and appreciate a persons hard work and preperation. No way Pacquiao of 06' or earlier beats DLH and Hatton in a one sided fashion.
What you are for life is a dumb f*ck who is so dim he doesn't even have the intelligence, or the balls to say anything constructive - but isntead talks like a f*cking 7th grader. Why don't you get off your knees for a bit, grow a sack, then come back and play with the big boys you stupid cunt.
What flaws does Floyd Mayweather Jr have?
When he gets pressured he lays on the ropes a bit too much. A guy with Manny's speed and activity might make him pay for that. Also, he doesn't let his hands go enough (granted he hasn't had to lately) but he will vs. pacman
pac sucks at adjusting and is very repetitive fighter making him easy to figure out.
Aside from PWILL, Pacquiao is the only fighter who has fought and won in more different weight classes in his last 4 fights against 4 different types of fighters. To say that he sucks at adjusting is all hate talk. If he's so easy to figure out, how come no one, except Morales, has figured him out yet in the last decade?
Although, I do think that PBF will outbox Manny in another boring potshotting, shoulder rolling contest, Manny has the best chance out of all the lighterweights that PBF is currently picking on.
I do think another boxer can beat Floyd. Obviously, he has to have the natural abilities to carry it out.
What some people are failing to see in PAC these days, is he has become a two-headed monster. PAC will always have that tenacity, but, he's also counter-punching more these days.
So, it maybe Floyd that might walk into something. Floyd tends to over-extend at times as well.
I agree with your points on a Pac-May fight. When I said "boxer" I should have been more specific. There are other fighters that can and will beat FMJ if they ever fight but there is a slim to none chance he will fight them. Manny is the composite underdog that PBF thinks he can exploit. Floyd is really underrating Pac which is going to be his first mistake. His second mistake will be to actually fight him.
Look, this fight has beat down with a baseball bat, you guys that don't give Manny a chance to beat PBF are not seeing the obvious. Pac has the exact skills that are going to give a fighter like Floyd the most trouble. Do you guys honestly believe a boxer is going to come in and beat FMJ?
it wouldt be a boxing match if their wast. same here i want to see someone head get knocked off
Good good. I get tired of hearing about Mayweather's "perfect defense" and shit, it's boring.

I like flaws. It makes a fighter more exciting to watch. Fuck perfection. I wanna see a guy lay his heart and soul down in that ring, I'm not looking for a ballet dancer who moves gracefully, I wanna see a guy knock someone's head off.
Thanks though.

the way i see it is that pac is just not smart enough to beat pbf. pac sucks at adjusting and is very repetitive fighter making him easy to figure out. now if pac had the intelligence of marquez or pbf then pac will win easy.
He's intelligent enough... to the point where Marquez and Mayweather are chasing him for a fight.
:)
Is that not a smart fighter? Is that someone who's repetitive... unable to adjust? The guy is P4P #1 dammit.

well pac is exciting to watch no doubt but he does have alot of flaws his nuthuggers are blind to them
A lot of flaws? Are serious or blind as well? If Pac has a lot of flaws he will not able to reach even below 20 level of where he is now! Pac even with a lot of flaws as you said are higher in any status of whats Floyd have right now.
But don't expect me to think that the kind of trading that he withstood in the FEATHERWEIGHT division is at all relavent when fighting a WELTERWEIGHT, the best of his ****ing generation.
But Mayweather doesn't trade an awful lot, he's a potshotter and a back peddler most of the time.

The REALLY funny part is that you read my post, and somehow managed to extrapolate me saying that Manny had no chance, which I never said.
Piece of advice, learn to read dumbshit.
