Marquez-Mayweather discount!

Is this the best boxing promotion ever? Oscar mentioned the Tecate sponsorship during the Marquez-Mayweather press conference. They have sponsored several of his fights, and now, apparently, if you buy a 24 pack of Tecate on fight night you get 50% off the PPV cost of Marquez-Mayweather; meaning the fight is only $25.00! I think that's amazing. Other than the children amongst us, most of us probably drink when we watch boxing. So, just switch to Tecate for a night. It's basically a cheap Corona; when you throw a lime slice in there it's very drinkable. I've verified this promotion is real, but official information online isn't getting put out much for the next few weeks I don't believe. Yes, it's true- Oscar said it and I've read it's confirmed. I think it's great! How about ya'll?

how much does the 24 pack cost Depending on your area? $17.00- $20.00 dollars usually. I mean, if you were going to buy beer ANYWAY. Don't most of us drink during fights?

a 24 pack will cost about 1/2 the price of the event, So basically Oscar's buying the beer. I've had tacate a few times, its not bad, makes me sleepy though.

**** tecate, its watered down beer. but yeah, this promotion was also offered on the De la Hoya-Pacquiao fight.kinda went under the radar. they offer it as a mail in rebate, which could take weeks till you get yo money back. I think Tecate is fine. As far as being watered down; it's 5% like all other beer, and I think it tastes alright. Anyway, doesn't matter if it takes a week to get your cash back! Lots of people on these forums would order the PPV, anyway, and get a group of friends together to drink/grill out that evening with some beers! So you don't even have to make an extraneous purchase!

There is a disclaimer though. You have to drink all 24 bottles before you call in to order the PPV.

There is a rebate on the box I think, you send it in they send you the money back. Oooooh. Is it a rebate? That makes even more sense. Good looking out!

Tecate probably works with your cable provider- since they have to provide the PPV anyway- and you have to give them the 24 pack's CPU code near the barcode or there's a promo code inside the box. It's not that hard to do, really.

I love Tecate it shits all over Corona (although I think Dues XX is the best Mexican beer). Looks like I have found what I will be drinking on fight night. Yeah, my best friend is Mexican and that's why I drink Tecate. I mean, as a Mexican beer- if you're rooting for Marquez- why not theme your night around it and make this your official fight night drink? Apparently Marquez is even being featured in the Tecate commercials right now.

I thought you guys should know if you didn't. Feel free to post so this is bumped near the top, I'd hate to see people order the PPV and not know about this. I think it's a good deal seeing as you and your buddies can just split the cost of the 24 pack/you might be buying beer anyway.
