“Vicious” Victor Ortiz of Ventura was there and he is psyched about his upcoming fight against Marcos Rene Maidana for the interim WBA super-lightweight title on June 27 at Staples Center on HBO. Ortiz’s manager, Rolando Arellano, who used to manage Fernando Vargas, said Ortiz has signed a deal with Saved by the Bell/Dancing with the Stars superstar Mario Lopez for a reality series. Arellano said MTV and VH1 are currently bidding on the show.
Anybody here about this? That's all the only information I could find.

I had a class with Victors brother and he was talking about it. I didnt beleive him though. I thought he was full of shit. I guess he was telling the truth. I actually met him during our final. He brought him in to introduce him to the class. I was late and talked to him walking out to his car. He seems very humble and like a cool guy to chill with.
Good for Vic.
Oh and he isnt from Ventura he is from Da Nard!
He lives down the street from my house.
I just hope all these distractions don't go to Ortiz' head. It can be very easy to get caught up in Hollywood and lose focus of what is really important.
Anymore news on what kind of reality show this will be? USA Today briefly mentioned again in an article that the show is being filmed.

We've identified Victor in a crop of young guys who we think can be future stars," says Kery Davis, senior vice president of programming at HBO. "Victor has a unique blend of ability, a television-friendly fighting style, charisma and also a terrific back story that we think can propel him."
Because of his story, according to Arellano, MTV has begun filming Ortiz for a reality series.
It's not a dating show. It will be about his life, training and fight. I got the feeling it was going to be more like 24/7. Rolando said MTV and VH1 are really trying to go after young Hispanics.
Carlos Arias posted this at another website, I'll be checking it out.
reality tv is so horrible I hope he does not do it. Speaking of reality tv though I saw something that Johnny Tapia was ordered to be on celebrity rehad. I will watch that if hes on it.
I pray to god that its shot documentary style. a nice series detailing his life of hardships, how he overcame them and what he wants to do with his life. if they cheese it up, he's just going to be a circus act, a flavor of the month. they need to connect him with the audience to build a fanbase.
