If he caught him with a clean shot like he caught Hatton with, I think it knocks him out.
Hatton's punch resistance is a lot smaller now, but that was a knockout punch in anyones world. It probably could have taken out Jr.Middleweights if not Middleweights, it was a bonafide bomb.
I tend to pick against Pacman, and I'll pick against him again if Cotto can negotiate losing a further 3 pounds safely, he is not as naive as someone like Hatton to believe size and strength will win him the fight alone, he is far more multi-dimensional and tactically astute.
I think if Manny caught Wlad with a clean shot like the one he hit Hatton with, he'd drop him. Just remember, that kinda shit doesn't happen often between top notch fighters. And Cotto doesn't rush in with his hands down. Expect it to be a little more difficult for Pacquiao.
Torres caught him, Corley caught him, even Judah had him a lil wobbly. I think Manny can find his chin before the night ends.
could he hurt or drop the Puerto Rican star?
Your thoughts?
How would the fight turn out if Manny could prove to hurt Miguel Cotto?

I see Manny's right hook giving Cotto major problems over Cotto's jab. Manny's speed will allow him to land and hurt Cotto. The exchanges could be dangerous as Cotto is the bigger guy and would be heavy handed against a small fighter like Manny. But if Manny cracks Cotto like he did Ricky, it's over.
You are seriously underrating Cotto's right cross.
Cotto's right hand is much better than Manny's.
Much better than Manny's what? Right hook..... Manny throws a left cross since he fights from a southpaw position.
If Pac hits Cotto flush, I think Cotto wobbles and legs give out instantly, I dont think Cotto drops as quick as Hatton did though. You guys got to remember Hattons lifestyle outside of the ring wasnt a healthy one. Ballooning up in between fights then coming down, that aint healthy which made Hatton even more vulnerable to getting hurt with solid shots. Pac can rock Cotto but I dont think a one punch would drop Cotto, accumulation yes.
I agree with your point. Cotto is not Hatton by any means. Those that think Cotto will be flattened by one punch are ridiculous. Because Cotto has been in so many wars it will help him in this fight. He knows how to recover from getting rocked, the only time this didn't happen was when he was brick fisted and even then he took it like a man for 11 rounds.
