I think some die hard boxing fans in the UK might catch this fight, but the promotion in London imho is gonna fail. If they wanted to do 3 cities, they should did NYC, LA or some city in Texas, AZ or something. Houston would have been the best city in texas! but pbf did put on a show for the uk fans and a million bout his ppv fight so why not tap that market.

They want to catch those markets that are on the borderline, i.e Europe... I think people will be more interested in this fight than some people think. I think it might do more sells than people give it credit for. Like it or not Mayweather and Marquez are both big names in boxing and a matchup like this is a rarity nowadays.

Looks like i'll be going to see this one then! And btw, Pacquiao has more fans over here than Mayweather. Only a small bunch of guys started supporting Floyd after the Hatton win, but everyone over here is talking about Manny Pacquiao. They love the guy. So if Mayweather and Pacquiao fight, the majority of the UK fans will most proberbly support the Pacman.

Floyd isnt stupid,he has a team and they have already done a marketing research which showed this thing is feasible.These guys dont just wake up and say let's go to London tomorrow.They sit down and plan,do the numbers and move. There is a lot of environmental analysis in this business,these guys are always looking at how best they can improve. Thats what i dont understand about people on these forums, They think they somehow knows better than people who have a team of everything. There is a reason why they would come here and i for one cant wait, I just hope they make it a public thing.

They coming to London???????? Brilliant ideal..Great ideal, Since Mayweather fought Hatton he has gain some new fans over here and its a good ideal that they might want to tap into the market a bit more. Its not a waste of time when it wouldnt take more than a day or 2 to do a presser here.

Well im not complaining lol. The thing is their will be a decent number of fans watching it then you do some promoting over here, particularly what maywetaher is doing and having a open workout, people will take notice and im sure it will advertised a bit in the papers and such, so expect alot mroe tuning in after this promotion.

Why does everyone keep talking about Mexico for? If there is one place they didnt need to go, its Mexico. Do you guys know how these things work? Why go to Mexico when JMM is already huge there and this is his biggest fight? Ofcourse all of them are going to be watching anyways. You would be just wasting your time going there. The reason you go to London is because its turning into a big boxing market even for the US. Sure you dont have any Brits in this fight but you want to keep as many PPV buys over there as possible. If its hot over there then you shouldnt let it cool off just because Hatton is out. Maybe you can steal a fight or 2 with there fans. It might not work but anything you get from there is icing on the cake and who knows, it might work alot. Plus, why would Floyd be scared of Mexico? He's fought alot of them, he went to England for the Hatton presser, and its not like theyre wont be security

yeah, mexico city would be the best, but I think they might be too scared of swine flu. There's more swine flu here in the States now than in Mexico. London makes no sense what-so-ever...I'm with you on that! LA, NYC and like you said, some city in Texas or maybe Chicago even. Mexico City would've made perfect sense though. Things are fine now and they could've even had it at the damn airport somewhere if they wanted to avoid going into the city.
