Question for the mayweather mafia...

ive seen alot of you lately including Larry making fun of Cotto for loseing to Margacheato, saying he quit and took a knee. I wolnt even coment on the fact that tony may or may not have cheating in the fight because we will never no for sure and it is irrelavent here. my question is; i know you guys love floyd and all, and thats just fine. however honestly how can you guys even make fun of cotto when it is a FACT that floyd turned down 8mill (which would of been his biggest payday at the time) to fight tony? Cotto fought him when he was even more dangerous when he destroyed kermit twice. The big differnce here is like i said, floyd turned down 8mill and fought an oppent that made him less money. Just recently Cotto accepted to fight Clottey when he could have made more money on fighting Kermit who is about done in boxing. Im not trying to start alot of shit here im just stateing what i have herd you guys saying recently by bashing cotto for loseing to tony. Alot of you and most importantly Larry have been known for saying very intelligent things on here. I hope you can give intellagent answers to this and not just avoid my question and give a childish responce....

Mayweather was reported as making $8 million for the Baldomir fight. I think it was Jake who mentioned that Arum was making a stink, saying that Mayweather didn't really get $8 million. But that was the number that was filed with the NSAC, and then Arum shut his mouth after he found that out

Cotto had the perfect game plan also. His problem was, the uppercut (Burt Sugar picked Margarito because of the uppercut, so did I) and that was the key punch. Honestly, he just gassed due to Margarito's body attack Still, CLINCHING would have won him the fight. Just a simple clinch would have done it in spurts though the ideal way to beat Tony is to keep him in the middle of the ring and turn him into shots. Sounds easy but Tony is a mother****er that's hard to discourage. Cotto did it well but also languished on the ropes far too much and it allowed Tony to grind him down. Also, knowing that Tony's uppercut is his money punch him and Evangilista should have worked on keeping Cotto off his front foot so much as it put Cotto's head in a position for Tony to land it also clinching requires a lot of strength especially in regards to a strong guy like Tony. Mosley is a beast and was able to tie up Tony at will something I doubt Cotto could have done as successfully as Shane did

Im not a part of the Mafia but aI will answer you........ Floyd turned down Margarito because he had a bull hsit belt...and nobody KNEW HIM.... He fought Baldimir the WBC WW Champion of the World for more money.... More money....and the ring lineal ww title. What would you choose? Well said. @micky, those 8million were never guaranteed or shown on paper either. Could have been that Bob Arum was just BS and trying to get Floyd's attention. I doubt Floyd would have earned that much.
