Reid and Vargas - Will they have a HOF career it they didn't fought prime Tito?

Do you even know who Vargas fought? How does a loss get him into the hof? He has so many other accomplishments tito is irrelevant! But that fight only showed how good he really was. Vargas had the boxing world buzzing!!! and only people that didn't watch boxing back then will say different. read again the topic bro.. i am trying to imply that Vargas would definitely have a HOF career if he didn't fight Tito at the early stage of his career.. he was just 22? and he was forced to the lion's den too early..

I would say no. Reid had that bad eye. There was no way around that. Vargas had the tools but he had a bad back and he didnt take care of himself between fights.

Lots of fighters were terrific amateurs, but never became HOF fighters. Reid's athleticism was more impressive than his skills. He looked pretty bad in some of his fights pre-Trinidad and had that droopy eye.
