He has ALWAYS critisized potential opponents for their lack of selling power, and has used it as a major excuse in avoiding tough fights.
Well I think we can safely assume that while Mayweather-Marquez will surely break 10,000 in attendance, its not gonna sell out with 16,000+
AND, on top of that, he is demanding 60-40 for a fight with Pacquiao. Do you think he will go back on this and agree to a 50-50 split? There is absolutely NO WAY Mayweather brings more money to the table than Pacquiao does. Not a chance
15K that Mayweather/Marquez sells out and outbuys Pac-Hatton
Sig it ...
R u joking?
No way it sells out the arena and by any chance it does its because of the mexicans
And I say it doess 400k buys ..
Ez bet
HUH?? What arena in Vegas holds over 18K??
It's true...the Thomas and Mack Center is bigger than the MGM or Mandalay Bay. Their website says that their capacity for ring events is 19,522. It's just that it's not part of a casino that more big fights aren't held there I guess.
I was being serious. You obviously have never been to an NCAA conference game. Guess you forogt to it up your "inside" information as the ring configuration holds up to 19k.
if the mexican came for margarito they are coming for jmm
Yeah I've got a Mexican homeboy from Mexico and he says that he's getting the fight and that JMM has a real chance to beat Mayweather. He's not a huge boxing fan but if a fighter from Mexico is fighting on PPV he usaully gets it.
I want to know what is this guy standards for a successful fight since he thinks 10,000+ isnt successful
Thus, none of these fights were draws since they didnt break 10,000+ or 11,000+

Because None of these Broke 10,000+ and 11,000+ in attendance...
So what do you think is the amount of people who have to attend for you to consider it an successful fight?
obviously the thread starter is a mayweather hater...their is no need to put this much effort into making him look foolish for downplaying 10,000+ paid attendance.
The fight will sell out. Not as quickly as others but it will. I don't beleive it will do the PPV numbers that Pac-Hatton does but it will outdo Pac-Marquez and therefore giving Floyd PPV edge versus three common opponents, although still not sure what official numbers are for Pac-Hatton. Thats why he can demand more and nothing is wrong with that. Did Floyd, Manny, Shane, or Bernard receive more money against Oscar because they were considered better? No, because thats not the way it works, especially here when Floyd in my opinion is still the better fighter. Everyone is saying Manny is the bigger draw but wheres the proof? Floyd has done bigger numbers.
you can't really compare those fights.
pac/dlh and pac/hatton were made in a recession while floyd/dlh and floyd/hatton weren't made in a recession.
also pac/jmm was at 130 where jmm was not as big as he is now.
You conveniently forgot to mention the Pacquiao/Morales III which did 18,276, according to HBO --> http://www.hbo.com/boxing/events/2007/1006_pacquiao_barerra/news/announcement.html
According to the state and government of Neveda and their
Business and Industry Records.
HBO is lying.

Based on how much shit Floyd and his girlfriends talk on this forum have talked, I expect this PPV to do no less than 900K.
Hater, you're just undermining the mega star billionaire he really is.
I expect at least 1.5 million PPV buys,
and thats pre order.
Fight night, expect another mil.
Easy work.

Do you know How great fights didnt reach 16,000+ in Las Vegas?
8 out of the top 35 fights in vegas history have reach over 16,000 people in attendance...!!!
Pacquiaqo vs. Oscat didnt reach 16,000

By your standards SRL vs. Hagler was not a big fight
or Majority of oscar fights were not big fights...
You conveniently forgot to mention the Pacquiao/Morales III which did 18,276, according to HBO --> http://www.hbo.com/boxing/events/2007/1006_pacquiao_barerra/news/announcement.html
actually thats a pretty huge misconception. Yes while JMM isn't the draw Barrera and Morales were in their heyday his recent fights with Pacquiao and Diaz have made him more acceptable to the Mexican fanbase
also while the crowd was a definite Diaz crowd there was a huge roar of approval for JMM as well.
he is becoming a draw and one that Mexican fans are starting to want to see
they only like him when he's fighting pac.
margo sold out the staples center easy... I don't ever see jmm getting that kinda reception, which boggles my mind. jmm is clearly the better fighter.
the mexicans might not come out because jmm is perceived as a huge underdog and a tune up.
also jmm had to fight diaz in houston; he doesn't get that much love from mexicans... they prefered margarito over jmm before mosley/margo.
