Other than Judah... who tested PBF chin???
I don't remember PBF taking a good shot to his chin since he moved up to 140lbs and beyond.
Who???
If PAC beats PBF to the punch PBF will get Hatton'ed... :boxing:
(PAC won't be missing shots for 12 rounds...)
look at zab and manny's record, manny has more fights than zab but zab has more knock outs with in the 1st 4 rounds of a fight than manny does and as far as how good manny is with combinations he looks very sloppy at times like in the morales fight and even in the hatton fight and manny has a habit of fallen in with his punches and liftin his pivot foot
Then, after we look at the numerical KO statistics, we can look at level of opposition and see who has KO'd the better fighters.
I like my chances in this argument.
Thanks, bro.
Cotto vs Pac is gonna be a classic. This fight is going to be back and forth for the first half for sure. I am a fan of both fighters they are true warriors. This one will come down to who wants it more. They both can catch and hurt one another. With Pac being a little unorthodox it will give him a slight advantage and if he ever hurts Cotto he can put him away. But Cotto has a mean left hook of his own and could pose problems for PAC. Cotto is a very slick boxer puncher. Not an easy fight to predict but an awesome fight to watch for sure!
Dude, I agree with you with everything except for being a gay Cowboys fan...
Just kidding, Go Fins!!!
Good post man. The ropes thing is a punch in the "belt", tough.
I believe PAC has the chance to REALLY TEST IT if he beats PBF to the punch. Not only PBF, but Cotto too.
Utopically, theorically speaking... if PAC goes up to 147lbs. and fights Cotto (saying Cotto beats Clottey) and beats Miguel to the punch, his "crystal" chin is getting hatton'ed. PAC is too quick for Cotto, Manny will land nasty power punches. Everybody says Pacquiao is committing suicide by going up to WW. IMO, PBF and Cotto better be ready to pass the chin test or knock PAC before he gets the chance to hatton'ed them.
Judah already putted them in "check", maybe Pacquiao can say "check, mate!!!".
Thanks, bro.

Well to be honest no one has gotten close enough to test his chin thoroughly. A punch or two have snuck in to stun him on several occasions. Also its kind of hard to tell if someone is hurt when they rest on the ropes most of the time. It's almost like a third leg.. no pun intended.
All I have to say is everyone thought Roy Jones Jr. had a granite chin until Antonio Tarver Ko'd him with one punch. You could say Mayweather Jr. has the same problem of not knowing how his chin will respond when it is caught just right. Floyd I'm sure knows how good his chin is and what he can and can't take. Probably why we haven't seen him fight any other top fighters in WW.

Did you know that Manny Pac made all Yoda fight scenes in Star Wars???
Okay... here's your test:
Name the actual good fighters that Judah has hurt with one punch.
I'll help you out to start.
Cory Spinks in the rematch.
Tip: Answers like Cosme Rivera will not be given full credit.
Also... no Mayweather has not been caught with a significant combination in his career (other than Judah's jab jab left), but... he also has not faced anyone as fast or as good with combinations (the mix of the two, not each individually) in his career as Pacquiao, so... although history may be on your side in this question, it is not a 100% indicator of what Pacquiao will be able to do against Mayweather.

I think he tired or whatever he always does when he stops fighting well halfway through the fight.
I do think he was doing his best, but for some reason, he didn't have the energy to keep his workrate up to have a chance at beating Mayweather.
I think the scorecards were a bit fishy, considering someone scored it for Oscar. That is just insane.
Whomever scored for Oscar was full of shit. Oscar was suboptimal agaisnt PBF. I don't Think it would had made a difference in the final outcome (PBF winning), but it did made the fight more boring. Then again, in the bright side of PBF, we know he is going to be more aggressive agaisnt JMM cause PBF has shown to be aggressive with smaller opponents.
Dude, do you think ODLH did his best against PBF???
LMAO!!! I used to say that all the time to piss off my mexican friends.

He rocked Cotto multiple times and him on queer street in the first round..
He also was rockin Zu.......
If you say Cotto, I can say Marquez... both are really good fighters who don't really have the best chins.
I still haven't seen him rock Tszyu... maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention when I watched that fight. I mean, he was beating him to the punch, but... I didn't really ever see him hurt him, much less hurt him badly.
I don't believe that for one second.

Now that I think about it, back then when PBF fought ODLH... I said many times that it was a "fixed fight" to jump start PBF stardom in PPV's. That they precticed the fight "in secret with FM Sr. I know the comment is very compronising, but I did find that ODLH fought like he did not want to hurt PBF. He did not used the jab as he should have, plus the pathetic last 20 seconds of the fight should had been the first 20 seconds of the second round.
I don't believe that for one second.
He was at least buzzed against Corley and Judah... he doesn't stumble back into the ropes for fun or as part of his strategy after all... that punch did a lot of damage in both cases.
Oscar landed a left hook and the Judah straight left was flush and knocked Floyd's head way back.
Also, the ODLH KO on Mayorga was the fight immediately before Mayorga, so he clearly did have at least some power left.
I do think it was diminished from where it was early in his career though... plus it was in the 12th, after he had faded.
But really, other than Oscar, which did test it some, Judah clearly tested his chin.

yea and floyd gets caught with alot of combinations right, zab is obviously the harder puncher, besides hatton who has manny really seem to hurt with 1 punch, zab has plenty of fights where that straight left or that left upprcut leaves his opponents on queer street manny has to land alot of punches to hurt his opponents and even if you look at fights like the marquez fight he drops marquez 3 times then marquez wins almost every round after that if that was zab judah after 2 knockdowns the fight would most likely be over

floyd has never seemed hurt ever in his career even the corley punch didn't really seem to do much it just stopped floyd for a couple of seconds then floyd started to counter punch the shit out of corley where as pacquiao has seemed hurt a couple of times by smaller men than floyd

THREAD REVIEW:
Castillo and Corley tested PBF before 2005.
ODLH tested PBF since he ladned a couple of clean shots and weighted 160lbs. (?).
THE NEW QUESTION: How powerful was Oscar's punch when he fought PBF???
We know ODLH has a great jab, but I am talking about power punching. I believe that at the later part of his career, Oscar needed to constantly punish an opponent in order to cause damage. Before ODLH KO on Mayorgas, his last significant win by KO was againt Vargas in 2002. I am not counting his KOs agaisnt Gatti and Campas (for the record).

He clearly does...
and even if he doesn't... it doesn't matter, because he can hurt you with a combination and is not the worst finisher in the sport (that title belongs to Judah), so... the power factor swings Pacquiao's way regardless.

Uhh! Whatever you mean with the scream... anyway I believe that PAC hits harder than Judah.
