Shit i love Morales dude is a warrior..
Looking forward to seeing him back on the scene
Why?
He has done all he can do and he has clearly had enough. I hate watching these great fighters go round out there when they just shouldn't be.
As a long-time Morales fan this sounds kind of selfish but if he is gonna fight on the JMM-Mayweather card I want to see him against a somewhat live opponent like Katisidis or Juan Diaz. I know El Terrible is never in a non-climatic fight but I don't want to pay 50 bucks to see him beat up on a random journeyman in a tune-up type fight. I expect the same from Zab Judah as I mentioned in another thread. I also think Morales is 10 times the fighter that Zab could ever dream of bein, regardless of who I think would win in a head-to-head match up. I think Morales would handle him if they fought now though. That would also be a decent fight for that undercard if the Judah-Bailey fight doesn't come off like has been talked about.
your right thats why hes coming back at 140lb.
He's too small for 140.
Same goes for Barrera, making a comeback at 135.
They're both shot to pieces.
If he wants to come back, fine. That's his decision.
But I'm telling you, it's only going to end badly for him.
Geez...i'm afraid of what might happen to him in the ring. Dude should not be fighting anymore....but who knows, maybe a long layoff re-engerizes him....hopefully he comes back strong.
how about that morales is saying that hes coming back
at 140lb.who would you like him to face in hes comeback?
Nobody he should stay retired. I feel he is done for sure and after a long lay off? I dont think he should come back to boxing , he is already remembered as the man who beat Pacquiao and has a beautiful resume with wars against barrera that are unforgetable
he's not that old i think hes 32/33 years old if he wants to fight he can still be good
when manny beat him he did'nt wanted to fight anymore.
No, when Manny beat him, his body betrayed him.
Watch the second Morales/Pacquiao fight.
You can see Erik's body slowing beginning to turn on him through the fight, as he drained himself to make the weight. when Pacquiao drops him the 2nd time, it's not even from punches. He just collapses forward from sheer exhaustion.
And the 3rd Pac fight is even more evidence of that. That wasn't even Morales in there ; it was the ghost of Erik Morales.

Yeh that was because he was getting battered
