first things first tho Gamber....you have a july 18th showdown that's far from just being a formality...floyd SHOULD win but Marquez is no easy task... True, and that fight might not even come off next anyways (Manny-Floyd, it is not an easy fight to make happean, so they may decide to fight other people first then come back for an even larger pie!). Aslong as they both keep winning this is the fight in boxing, but they need to both keep winning 8). I give JMM a small chance, but he does need to actually preform well and look like the Floyd of old, I think that is a lot more in doubt then Floyd winning. I will say it right now Manny will be the betting favorite when they fight (aslong as things stay on the current path), I think people will want to bet on Manny and against Floyd so that will effect the odds.

i see meldrick vs chavez 1 playing out with a battered floyd getting stopped late...the fight will have highlights from both fighters but i just can not see floyd being able to fully dictate the pace and avoiding nasty exchanges Possibly, I do think Floyd would have to really fight Pacman, I do not think he could win if he just plays it safe. Meldrick Taylor would take shots to give 2or 3, how Floyd Mayweather fights he throws a right from the out side hits, come in very close do the forearm thing to open up a shot or two more then tie up. Lefty, you’re one of the very few Floyd fans that I can actually have a discussion with…I see your points but I firmly stand behind the belief that the same ‘befuddled’ look will overcome Floyd as with ALL of PAC’s opponents….once they get a taste, firsthand, of that speed it, immediately alters game plans….some fighters panic, like Ricky and the gameplans become scaled down….Floyd will need every ounce of his defensive brilliance to pull this one….win or lose, he will get caught…he wont get caught as much as any previous PAC opponent but he will, at some point, get drawn into some brutal exchanges I see that look on Freddy Roach's face as he throws in teh towel to save Manny from further beating. They are both unique fighters though, I do not think results against any one fighter apply to much to this fight. To me Manny and Roach will come in witha good game plan and do well enough early, but once Floyd adjusts I do not think they can keep up. It is a challenging fight for both men though could go either way, I jsut see Floyd winning~ impressively.
