POLL: Clottey Top WW material?

Paul Williams also is a TOP 5 WW, cause he can still make the weight and fight in a competitive fashion. PBF was out of the equation until recent days, but obviously also is a TOP 5 WW. Anyway, this thread is about Clottey... I believe Clottey is a TOP 5 WW. If he beats Cotto and Mosley, he should be crown the top WW. Unless PBF decides to fight a real WW contender. So before his fight with Cotto, let us make clear on where you rank Clottey as a WW, and how it affects the resume of those who beat Clottey. Specially, when there are so many "out-of-the-closet-gay-groopie-mafias" been created lately. Where do you stand on this issue as a boxing fan or as a "group"?

That question is gonna be answered when he fights Cotto. I think Clottey has some good attributes but one thing that he does that I don't have a very high opinion of is he tends to be inconsistent with his offense. Even though I have compared that trait that he has to that of Chad Dawson, I think he has a better chin than Dawson does and he is a harder puncher for his respective weight class than Dawson is for light-heavy. He also has a better defense than Dawson. Dude, those are big words you just posted. I disagree. :no:

Clottey could beat Cotto, Mosley, and every other ranked WW and he still wouldn't be the best because last I checked Floyd unretired. Also lol he's super overrated. :haha::haha:PBF was the best WW in 2006...:haha::haha: Dude, to be the TOP WW, you got to BEAT THE BEST WW's in the DIVISION... I'd be happy with just one of the champs at welterweight, if Floyd is fighting in that division. All the champs are pretty good, and solid and are legit victories for anyone. I don't feel he has to fight everyone. Just one will do at this point. One is not enough, Mosley will still be considered the best WW. :banghead:

Clottey is an interesting fighter that can walk through punches. I believe Cotto still the best behind is Williams and then mosley, but if Clottey wins I put him around the top two spots. I think Clottey will surprise Cotto which will mark Cottos end. Let's say he beats Cotto. Still IMO he needs to beat SSM to be DA MAN at WW.
