140 is too small for legit welterweight. why do you think roach want all welterweight fights to be at 140. Roach never said anything about fighting Welters at 140, he said if Cotto and Shane want a piece of Pacquiao they should move down a few pounds, meaning these fights would be at a catchweight. I agree, Pacquiao destroys Cotto at 140. Cotto has no business at 140. But does Pacquiao have business at 147? I question if Cotto could even make 145 without trouble. Honestly, who can? cotto can barely make the weight and he couldn't KO Malignaggi at 140 pounds back when he was a bit smaller and could make the weight a bit more. Manny is just too high up there at 140 pounds for anyone to catch up. Cottos only chance is at 147 pounds because Cotto will just be too weak at 140. I see Cotto getting hit all day if he were to move to 140. In all fairness, I dont believe we will see Cotto drop to 140lbs ever again. Anything below 147 and Pac wins and the excuse will be "Cotto was drained..." Anything above 140 and Cotto win and the excuse is "Pac's too small..."

If Cotto agrees to a "catch-weight" he should negotiate to 146.9999999 After all, despite Pac already fighting Oscar at 147, Cotto needs to be a bit weak for Pac so Freddie can be happy...so, he should take off weight to 146.999999
