Since Manny destroyed Ricky, British visitors in my blog increased dramatically with most "Manny Pacquiao knockouts" as keyword used in google.uk... It seems British fans are investigating Manny's past fights and other achievements... and maybe some British casual boxing fans don't know about Manny until he dispatched Hatton?! It seems until now they can't believe that their hero is gone?!
Look at the size of The Undertakers fists. You wouldn't want a slap off him that's for sure.
Haha...yeah, but I don't want to get hit by Pacquiao's little left hook either.
scary, scary little hands.
Batista is half Pinoy and half Greek... father is Pinoy while Mother is Greek.. he has been a longtime Pacfan..
I know, I wish Davey Boy Smith was still alive and square it off with Batista.
nice sig, with Batista on it.
I think the reason why Pacquiao brought along Batista on his corner is that if ever Hatton decides to wrestle his way to win...Pacquiao can just tag Batista.

British boxing fans knew about Manny before the Hatton fight, so your wrong there, but yes, many Brits can't believe their Hero was knocked out like that. Whats wrong with that?

 good point. Manny should fight that big lump of steriods next and knock his arse out.
spot on....

I wouldn't say that. Even my mother knows who Pacquiao is. Before the fight she said Hatton has no chance, the little Asian guy is too fast and Hatton's lifestyle is catching up with him. Then she went into a lecture of how you can't keep abusing your body like that. Typical mother stuff, but she was entirely correct. Always listen to yer mum!
It must definitely suck to be Hatton's mom last May 2nd... seeing your son go down like a chopped tree.
I'm just relieved that Ricky manages to walk on his own as he made his exit, it's not a good scene watching a boxer leave on a stretcher.
Probably because about 99% of brits will never heard of Pac until he fought Hatton.

I agree with most of that. Lots of people in Britain wouldnt of known who Pacquaio was before his fight with Hatton. But that only applies to the British fans who arent really Boxing fans and only watch fights that involve Hatton, Calzaghe ect.
Thats fair enough though, im no fan of say, Tennis. I can name you about 3 males players and thats it. Depends if your a big fan of the sport or not.
It is slighty annoying though, when someone talks to you about the recent big fight, say Hatton or Calzaghe, but when you stir the conversation to say fighters like Cotto, Marquez ect, they havent got a clue what your talking about.
My mates though Pacquaio was the Atari classic revamped for 2009
Atari made a few adjustments, they made him faster and more lethal for the ghosts, imo...
Was Froch known outside of Nottingham before the Taylor fight or even after?
Depends who you're asking. The Pascal fight raised a few eyebrows, and especially becoming a 'world champ' helped raised his profile, but to the general public, he is still probably unknown (even after the Taylor fight).
I think he is more known for 'stalking' Calzaghe then anything, and i'm sure many don't even know what division he fights in.
British boxing fans, although probably the most patriotic (debatable), only come out when one of the big draws (calzaghe/Hatton) fight. Froch and Haye will soon fit that criteria as Hatton and Cal fade.
I'd say less then that to be honest. I don't even think 10 of the random 30 asked, would have even heard of a Klitschko.
Hell, outside Hatton, Calzaghe, Khan, Froch and Haye......a majority of British boxers are unknown to the average UK 'boxing fan'.
