All day long today, all I have heard when they talk about the fight is, "My God this means Mayweather and Pacman goin at it is very possible!" and they all seem to agree that Mayweather will meet the same fate as Hatton, even if in the later rounds, I tell you what that is the fight to make right there, Money wise and its what the people want, Id say it would probably be the highest selling fight of all time, if promoted correctly.:fingersx:
Let them doubt Mayweather. It just increases the value of the win once he knocks him out.
exactly... floyd and fans shouldn't lash back... it's always sweeter to prove the critics wrong.
It's COOL as hell to hear Boxing being discussed by mainstream outlets but remember most don't know a fish-hook from a left-hook. So it's hard to listein to sometimes talking saying Pac would destroy May. May is a different animal than Hatton. I just wanna see that fight!
That is a retarded solution.
Why not do what they will do, which is Mayweather will beat Marquez at 143 and then fight Pacquiao at 143-144? Pffffft forget cotto at this point!
It probably is but November/December is to early for Mayweather to fight Pac. If Mayweather beats Pac, Mayweather can retire again without fighting Cotto and people will still call him a puss. Now if Mayweather beats Cotto and then fights Pac,thats a bigger money fight.
I have an easy solution for this, Mayweather beats Marquez, he then fights Cotto in December at 147. That gives Pac maybe two fights at 147 to get used to the weight. The only problem with that is Cotto would whip Mayweathers ass, then we wind up with Cotto and Pac. Pac and Mayweather is the money fight so Mayweather just has to duck Cotto which shouldn't be that difficult for him.
Let them doubt Mayweather. It just increases the value of the win once he knocks him out.
You're not looking at the big picture, stop your manlove for Floyd for just a second there buddy. Boxing has been counted down and out just recently (Joe Calslappy). Boxing is now back in the mainstream and steadily gaining more fans, that's the bottom line, and NOT who's the favorite or the underdog...
Floyd likes being the underdog and is used to it. He moved up from 130 to fight the 135 champion Castillo and was outweighed by over 10lbs and hurt his hand, fought him one handed was a huge underdog and owned Castillo twice in a row.
Only thing is...Floyd hasn't been an underdog for a little over 4 years. He was favored in both the Hatton and Oscar fights.
If he's claiming to be the #1 fighter regardless of Pacquiao, I doubt he'll take the route of the underdog more than him trying to stamp his claim as the #1.

Not only that but on my local sports channels they were talking about the matchup and all of them also said that Pac would kill Floyd right now. Again, my biggest worry is that Floyd will kill JMM and on July 19th everyone will start to flip and Floyd will atleast be the favored and maybe it will be so bad that people will try to say that Floyd is a pussy for fighting Pac
