floyd sr had given ricky the right tactics, the right movement, the right training, but Ricky didn't take it. he clearly says to ricky in between the round, 'listen what have i been saying bout' movin' your head man.. you gotta move ur head you gotta feint, you gotta feint and make him make a mistake... your just trying to move in and overpower him.. don't overpower him. keep ur hands up man, you should have been listening at me since day one'. Listen at 3.45:
Ricky went into the right with tactics that COULD have beaten pacman if executed well, but he undestimated Pacmans speed big time. When he got into the ring he thought 'f*ck it, I'm too strong for him so I'll just fight the way I have done for the past 10 years and I'll win'. He had CONVINCED himself that Pacman was too small and wasn't powerful enough so he wanted to scrap with him toe to toe.
Mayweather Sr is NOT to blame. He gave ricky instructions during their 12 week training but ricky CHOSE not to follow it on fight night.
This why JMM gave Pac hell and this is why Floyd will rape Pacman.
I think it is best to wait and see where Floyd is at physically...and see how he reacts mentally.
We can't live off the past.
If this was a fight between Pac now and the version of Floyd at 140 when he was fighting there....Floyd would be the heavy favorite in my eyes but now...not so sure. I have to wait and see where Floyd is at and even then, only he and Roger would know for sure...although sometimes when you are to close it can be blinding as well. We'll see.
You guys make it sound like it's easy to just follow directions in the ring. He's done this his whole career. Why would any of you think 10 months of work is going to change 15 years of work?
Hatton tried to throw his jab and right hand by the way. everytime he'd throw his right, he'd square himself up, and Pac would land combinations. He just cant do it.
Floyd Sr. is the one who looks stupid because all he did was prance around claiming he fixed Ricky Hatton, and he was the best.
Mayweather Sr. probably had some sound tactics but you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
Mmmmm, didn't Pac get better?
He's bigger, stronger, same speed if not a bit quicker...and has sharpened up his skills a bit with new punches in his arsenal and does seem to think more now in the ring (like Freddie said) than before.
Speed is power and the punches that KO you are the ones you dont see coming, Manny threw the left-hook from underneath his elbow and it landed right on the kisser!!
If Hatton was moving his head and wasnt rushing in he would have seen the punch from a long way out, When you box you have to use your brains not just heart.
Bingo, the punch you dont see is the one that puts you to sleep.
Ricky used to be able to take hard shots.
It appears he's done.
If he does return to continue fighting after last
Saturday, he must really need the money.
Hatton didn't listen and serves him right for trying his old bullshit hit and holding tactics. I hope this is the end of Hatton. I'm sick of this bum getting big fights.

Everyone seems to underestimate Pacs speed and they all have payed dearly for it.

The first 30 seconds of round 2 he feints, moves his head, jabs, catches manny a few times, sure manny catches him as well but he looked better. then as soon as manny threw his first combo ricky panicked and reverted to his old tactics. disgrace.
hatton can't handle pacqiao's speed. he became so frustrated, he was shocked and lost his strategy after i've seen the first fast right and left combination he recieved from pacquiao, that why he was knockedout so early. whatever tactics you teach hatton, he will never beat pacquiao, his style will never change, roach was right hatton's style was made for pacquiao.
Why would anyone want to blame Mayweather snr for Hatton losing??? When is the excuse going to end?? He blamed and fire Billy graham because of his loss to PBF now people want to put this on Mayweather snr???
Even hatton assistant trainer said hatton got too "excited", Hatton thinks he can just overpower manny like one of the over-the-hill fighters he fought like castillo, Am pretty sure manny was suprise how hatton came like an amateur.
When he went for the 2nd round you could see how he did better in the first couple of minutes with his jab before he went bum rushing again and got KO.
I dont blame Sr......I think Hatton is garbage anyways......I just think Sr is a clown that wants to get more credit than his fighters.......selfish mofo!

I felt like he was throwin' Rick under the truck right there.......he knew the cameras was on so he chose to say that bullshit......Floyd Sr is a fool and thats what the clip shows......a selfish old dude who talks alot of shit but cant deliver the doo-doo.......oscar got beat up against lil Forbes with the so called GOAT of trainers in his corner.......Hatton got put to sleep in 2 by a former flyweight with the so called GOAT of trainers in his corner.......Hatton fought how he knew because Floyd don't know shit so therefore it wasn't shit Hatton could do better.......please watch his fight with Paulie again before yall ride the media wave and THINK Hatton improved under Floyd Sr......Paulie just fought a 8 rounder......a 8 rounder!! if Paulie was so ELITE why is the muhfücka fighting 8 rounders now? so dont think Floyd Sr. ever did anything to improve Rick because it never showed up during fight night.....the dude is a OVERRATED corner man with a head trainer's job......his BEST work is his son......thats because he had like 2 decades to teach him!
I don't think you can blame mr. sr. but I seriously believed that Ricky Hatton could take punches like that all night.
his binging lifestyle out of the ring caught up with him. his punch resistance has gone, he can't take punches anymore. hes gone.
Yeah, Sr did an okey Job.. it's just Hatton, when he hears the bell he's like a bull seeing red.. He throws every tactic out the window and goes back to his old predictiable self.
