toney had incredible handspeed and accuracy in alot of his fights.
people tend to remember the amateurish fighter that got schooled by jones,
and then the tubby heavyweight version.
nah, i mean in the poll, was it prime jones or 39 year ole jones?
if it was 39 year old jones, some people are just delusional and cant believe it when a fighter fades, you should'nt even let it get to you man
the one calzaghe fought.
he had 51 or 52 % of the votes.
James Toney was also unbeaten in 46 professional fights until losing to a certain Roy Jones (15 years before Calzaghe fought him). Sure he had some close ones until then but the bottom line is that he had never lost, right?
Not a hater of Calzaghe by any means but being undefeated doesn't mean you cannot lose. If that was the case then we would have quite a few "unbeatable" fighters throughout history because many boxers retired unbeaten.
Despite that it is the man with 19 losses who is often rated the greatest of all time.
i'm tired of calzaghe in these fantasy match ups, he almost always loses them on here. people just dont like him because he's unbeaten (like floyd) and overrate other fighters in process to bring down calzaghe. jones actually won a poll on here for their fight and that had over 100 votes, it's ridiculous.
Calzaghe wins - because he never loses. He gets up from the canvas and wins. People always say Calzaghe will lose, but then he wins - get over it :) People say he slaps but like Roy Jones said 'those slaps are harder than I thought'
