they are diff styles and abilities, but same size. to be fair Pac is ever so slightly bigger than JMM and a shot De La Hoya is hardly Floyd Mayweather they are the same size. jmm dont want to go to much higher weights coz of his stance and way of fighting he dont have the power to higher weights. pac can take his power to welterweight and make his body bigger than before. even jmm make his body bigger he dont have the power like pac has. jmm is a smart fighter outwitting his foe. pac is more like a slugger type an agrressive one but improve def and movement.

This is the most intelligent piece of business by Team Marquez, They went to indonesia for $30000 instead of rematching Pacman for $750000, They have made one of the biggest name in boxing to come out of retirement(According to source), Made him come down in weight after a long lay off and are getting paid handsomely. Its a win-win situation for Team JMM and a brilliant piece of business from them.

Because a win against Floyd would surely get him another fight with pacman.

I don't think PBF is capable of a complete beating of JMM. Just remember Castillo give PBF some Problems, JMM is a more skilled fighter & maybe a better puncher than castillo. Castillo never Koed Casamayor, but JMM did. This is a good fight for JMM. He needs to play as the agressor in this fight. But I'll be rooting for PBF coz I want Pac to be the 1st to Beat PBF. I think he could possibly beat JMM like that if he is in tip top shape but he has not fought in almost two years so he may not be able to put that sort of beating on JMM. JMM is a much different fighter then JLC, but he is a great fighter so he should be able to give Floyd some problems (especially early on in the fight). I have always though Floyd would have been a bad matchup for JMM had they been in the same division, now a lot of it has to do with the fact that Floyd is the bigger man but I also think he is the better man in the ring. To me it does not matter if JMM boxes or stands and bangs it out he is going to get the worst of it. Then again JMM is a great fighter and I am not so maybe he can envision some plan I can not come up with.

I think there is a huge reward for beating Mayweather. It would really one up his rival Pacaman and what he did with Oscar. On top of this he is probably make 2 to 3 times his biggest payday (1.5 million is his current biggest). If JMM can even make it a good fight I think he will be showered with praise. The big risk is that he catches a terrible beatting that basically ends him as a top notch prize fighter. Really I do not think a loss to Mayweather hurt the preception of JMM (unless it is brutal, but even after Floyd brutalized Gatti he continued on) so he will probably be able to get fights if he loses basically the same as now. The risk/reward for JMM is pretty good, for a normal person the risk of catching a life altering beating trumps the possible gains but not for a great fighter!
