when it comes telling people whether the tickets are available or not. With this and the fight last Dec 6, there are just too few Pac fans (Filipinos mostly) for there not to be some sort of manipulation. There's no way all those Filipinos who would come by the hundreds just to watch Pac train, wouldn't pay a few bucks to watch him fight LIVE. Same with Pac's last fight, there were so few Pac fans (weigh in and the fight) compared with his popularity.
So, I am right. There is a some sort of manipulation.
Yea, I guess you could call it that. That is how it is for all big events (not just boxing any event) in the US though, if you have lots of funds it is great you can see whatever but for normal fans they get squeezed out (unless they are willing to pay).
exactly, all those "humble" "i do it for the people" boxers are full of shit.... :lol1:
"All those humble boxers" are different from Manny who is known for his generosity to Filipinos. What other boxers have you seen hand out food and cash to hundreds, maybe thousands, of citizens for no particular reason? And even though Manny wasn't exactly a high paid boxer until recently, he still gave alot of money to charities and such. So you better take that ignorant comment and shove it up your ass.
But then who is to decide who gets a ticket and who doesnt?
The people who sell the tickets. And I wouldn't be surprised if Golden Boy can control some of this.
Well it does kind of suck I will explain, ticket reseller buy up huge chunks of tickets to resell them at the actual market price. Which for events like this is often many times above face value. Most of the people who did this probably just marketed them to people in England because of what happeaned during the Mayweather fight (how many people came to see him) because it would be easy money.
Ticket resellers have supposably not made a lot of money on Manny fights in the past (from what I have read) with them having to sell tickets at less then face value in the end, with Hatton ticket resellers did very well with people driving up the price.
It is all about economics.

Until Roach closed down his gym for this training camp, Pac had tens of visitors each day just to watch him train. Some even drive hours just to get pic with Pac or just see him. You think they wouldn't pay 100, 200, or whatever tickets cost to watch their national hero fight live?

Brits have more money, no conspiracy.
Having more money when it comes to tickets for a prize fight doesn't mean jack. Filipinos make enough money in America to afford them.
Well, if pacman loves his fans so much, he should opt for smaller purses and cheaper tickets.

No, its more than just economics. It's not like the tickets cost thousands of bucks each. There are many more Filipinos in the US than Brits and the ones that are here aren't even close to as being poor as the Filipinos in their Native country. Most Asians in America aren't in poverty. I would assume that out of the 3 million plus Filipinos in the US, a very large proportion of them are middle class. Trust me, out of those 3 million plus there are much more than 25,000 (the number of Brits who came over for this event) Filipinos who would pay for tickets to see Pac.
