What convinced me was the fact that Oscar took SO MANY PUNCHES, i thought if hatton could even take like 1/3 of them then hed have time to get in offense and i thought Pac wouldnt be able to take too much punishment at 140, wrong on all counts wasnt i But Oscar is used to absorbing shots from the likes of Hopkins. Pacquiao is a hard hitter for his size but if you can handle Hopkins for 9 rounds you can probably deal with MP for 8, right? Oscar's chin is pretty impressive. One thing though -- I don't think Pacquiao's game plan was to throw the hardest shots at Oscar, but smaller clusters of shots, then get the **** outta town. If he had stood and traded with such a naturally bigger guy he would have risked being knocked out. However, I don't believe Oscar would have made it to the final bell if the fight had been allowed to continue. Déjà vu to Pac fans after The Pacman giving Cotto the worse beating of his boxing career. Pac fans will feel and experience something that happened before (Hatton's beatings), although in fact it is the first time that it has been experienced (Cotto getting Ko'ed).

Oscar De La Hoya has a good chin and at least knows how to defend himself. Hatton got caught cold in the first round and got caught clean in the second round.

I think everyone overlooked the fact that Hatton's chin wasnt what it was and underestimated Pacs ability to carry his punch up.

Pac has shown that he has a strong beard and can take a punch. Ricky was wobbled against Collazo, and KO'd by Floyd. 2 fighters who arent known to be power punchers. Lets see how effective Ricky is to Pac's body.
