Mind you I am in no way shape or form disrespecting any fighter by posting this. Why is it that before Kelly Pavlik fought B-Hop that he was one of P4P's best, then he lost to B-Hop and everyone lost all respect for him. He lost to a worthy opponent 1st off, and a veteran, surely more skilled, definitely more crafty, and yes older 43 yrs. old. But when Calzaghe beat B-Hop the older man and not by much (According to some) all those things I mentioned earlier were mentioned and it was a great win for Calzaghe because he beat the Veteran, more crafty, more skilled Fighter.
Another example: Ricky Hatton vs. Pretty Boy Floyd. Hatton lost the fight but never once did they say he lost all respect and till he beats Pac. man then he won't be one of P4P's best. No one disses him as if he is Champ but not a worthy one.
I know Kelly Pavlik got beat by B-Hop very much so, but he got beat by a worthy opponent and a veteran, surely more skilled, definitely more crafty, and yes older 43 yrs. old but none the less at least Kelly Pavlik took that loss graciously and learned from it. Why is this OK though for some and not others? Until next time its KO2you :boxing:
never tried it...but i will be looking for it today..matter of fact..................( puts on shoes and heads to the car with 5 dollars in hand)
LOL that shit is good as hell. im glad i tried it

LOL just fukin with you
yo man, ive been meaning to ask you. whenver im in the mood for some brewskis, i usually get some 211 BUT i just saw this new shit at the store. not sure if its NEW NEW but its new to the store, its Schlitz Malt Liquor with 8.5% alcohol (the can says High Gravity VSL, as in "very smooth lager"). ive had the regular schlitz before (its good) but this shit is the bomb. i dont think im ever buying 211 again. you ever try it?
boxingscene rules..if you lose
1-you were exsposed
2-you were overated
3-you are shot
but the catch is..if you never lose..then you duck everyone
larry, why must you talk about mayweather in non-mayweather threads?
I thin it has to do with the fact that Pavlik was untouchable at mw and then moves up a few pounds and is made to look like a journeyman. People most likely were looking at the age advantage as well, how do you possibly lose to a guy almost 20 yrs your senior?
While Calzaghe, on the other hand, was relatively the same age and made it an interesting fight. Comparatively speaking, they are pretty close in skill level but Calzaghe was way too active for B-Hop and Jones. The hype was there for Pavlik as well while there were a lot of doubts from the US fans regarding Calzaghe as he had never been to America before.
Thank you that sounds reasonable I can accept that. Until next time its KO2you :boxing:

I think the majority of people who post such comments on this forum are the younger crowd, 13-17 year olds, who, to be fair, have only been following boxing for a couple of years but like to 'sound off'. Im sure, least hope, they'll calm down and understand objectively as they turn from boys into men in a few years time
So are you saying what I wrote was Childish? Just asking. Until next time its KO2you :boxing:

Mainly because Pavlik was well and truly exposed by BHOP. Got shown up for the limited fighter he is, when you get schooled like that by ANYONE you dont deserve P4P status IMO. And Calzaghe barely got any credit, all i heard from posters on here was that he beat a "washed up old man" and "would never beat him in his prime".
