Someone needs to ask him this, really... so if anyone gets the chance to interview him please bring this up.
i mean jesus, if anyone can tell us who the top fighter in the last era was it's him.
chavez 91-1-1, 100-2-2
whitaker 40-1-1
quartey 34-0-1
trinidad 35-0
mosley 34-0,38-2-0
vargas 22-1-0
hopkins 44-2-1
mayorga 27-5-1
mayweather 37-0
pacquiao 47-3-2
it gives me chills just thinking about all the great fighters he's fought, people give him crap for losing the big fights but he won half of them and was unlucky not to get decisions in his losses too.
so question, who do you think the best fighter oscar ever faced was?
HAHAHAA..Of Course Oscar would stepped up in weight class to fight Bernard..Coz he stands to make a lot of money in that fight while BHOP was only paid a slave wage of $1Million!!!

In earning a purse of $10 million, the 39-year-old Hopkins enjoyed the biggest payday of his 16-year career.
he gets mad props for stepping in the ring with hopkins at middleweight ..i take my hat off to that

agreed at that moment Bernard Hopkins was probably the most complete fighter in the game.
I would say the Mosley that fought in their first fight was about as good a fighter as Oscar has seen as well.
Yup...damn Mosley was awesome that night. He was simply...too good. I'm still amazed by that performance.
More important than who is when. So simple...a lot of those names weren't what they used to be when he fought them.
I'm constantly baffled by people who live through Oscar's antics yet somehow believe he was different years ago because they're impressed by the names they see on boxrec. He's always been the type to handicap other fighters--whether it was making Hopkins move down to 156, fighting Chavez at welter, or making Pac move up two divisions, etc.

ODLH fought the best, and became an up-and-coming promoter. What disturbs and bugs the hell outta me are the homophobic remarks. Love or hate the man, he gave to his community, gave other boxers a chance to fight him. Honestly, ODLH can't win for losing. I give him credit for not going Mike Tyson on some of those knuckleheads. He is not the best boxer, but he's done a lot for the sport.
Great thread, BTW.
time he fought them.
PBF & MP sir... maybe mosley...
i really expected hopkins to own him then...
sweet pea & JCC & genaro were a little past it the time ODLH fought them...
That's why people who don't respect DLH are complete idiots.
I think he had a great resume and these are some decisions I thought went good or bad for him;
#1 - He beat Trinidad
#2 - He beat Mosley in their second fight
#3 - He lost vs Sturm
#5 - He was up on the score cards against Hopkins until he knocked out.
#6 - His performance against Mayweather was brilliant considering he was 35 yrs old vs the best pound4pound fighter in the world.
