He is a 122 pound fighter and it is pretty hard to make a name forself just staying in that division. When I look over Israel's career he fought a who's who of 122 pounders and the 2 fighter that beat Vazquez (since early in his career) Oscar Larios and Rafael Marquez, Vazquez holds a 2-1 record against both men.
When people talk about best of this era people never seem to bring up Vazquez though, to me he is really one of the best though.
The guy is one of the best 122 lbers to lace em up. I'd rank him 3rd behind Gomez and Morales. That said, he's not quite HOF yet due to the short history of the weight division. This is where a victory over Juan Ma would get him in. He does have a strong resume though defined by his victory over Johnny Gonzales and his trilogies with Oscar Larios and Rafael Marquez.
Wladimir Klishtko is the most underrated fighter of this era. I can stand the guy, I pray that he loses every time I see him fight, but the guy is flat out dominant. He's boring... no doubt. But he gets shit on for nothing more than obliterating anyone he steps into the ring with.
Maybe, I guess that case can be made. When I made this thread people were talking about best fighters of this era and Vazquez never got mentioned. It was more of a P4P thing and it is my personal belief the P4P and heavyweight are seperate.
You could make a case for Wlad though I guess, I do not know how I would rate him in realtion to other great Heavies of all time but if I was making a list of 25 or so I think I could find a spot for Wlad (especially if he continues on for a while).

I got nothing but love for Vazquez.
The man has show me some heart an guts.
i have seen a total of 5 live fights and 10 on videos.
But i just wish he retires. I don't want to see him against lopez, he would get seriously hurt.
first there nothing wrong in the 122pd juanma lopez is there and we will see if Vazquez wants to fight juanma lopez he is a young superstar and soon to be in the pd for pd list also cabllero is also there and has two of the belts so the divison is not bad at all is weather vazquez wants to fight either one.
vasquez already stated that he wants juanma

JuanMa is pretty sweet, I have a hard time seeing a smaller man really beat him. Like I said in the post before I am conflicted about that fight.
I was mainly talking mainstream if you only weight 122 pound you are not going to get much love. 122 has some pretty good fighters in it though, and is actually probably very good if Marquez and Vasquez are fighting there (not each other, although maybe once more if they go through everyone else).
what wrong with the division the 122 pd also has young superstar juanma lopez soon to be on the pd for pd list also palichin cabllero is also there. it's a pretty good division it's weather vazquez wants to fight either man..
is it really?
so the detached retina doesn't come into play?
He's pretty underrated. But as you said, look at the division.

he has been cleared to fight again
That is cool, I hope he can be the same fighter. I am conflicted on if I want to see him fight JaunMa or not. The rational side of me says that Israel's to old for fighting such a huge athletic 122 pounder, but the other half wants me to see if he can overcome that.
Is he ever going to fight again?
How do you know Kardashian's puss is loose? I bet she's got some good pussy. :hitit:
It hasn't been your turn yet?
She is straight, but airbrushes do wonders for her.
He's pretty underrated. But as you said, look at the division.
Yea if you stay at 122 your whole career chances are you going to be underrated. He was definetly one of the great of this era though, a fighter with power who actually knew how to apply it in the ring and not just flail wildly.

they're still doing medical tests on vasquez I think.
kim is a slut... i should know because I love sluts
