I've been seeing so much "Froch got outclassed until the 12th", and I don't think anything could be farther from the truth.
I mean, this was no Taylor/Chavez, Froch won some rounds. A lot of those mid to late rounds Taylor did nothing and than exploded with a combo at the end of the round. But he would spend 2 and a half minutes doing absolutely nothing.
I didn't score the fight, but watching it, I definitely gave Froch at least 4 rounds.
I mean ESPN gave Froch 2 rounds! That's freakin' crazy. That was a competitive fight that I thought Taylor was winning, but Froch was NOT getting outclassed by any means.
Going into the 12th round i had taylor up by 2 points, froch would have to score a KD to make the fight a draw but he did better than that, The fight was one-sided like some on here were trying to make it look like.
froch only won about 3 or 4 rounds what are you people seeing? the only rounds froch won is cause taylor stopped throwing punches cause he was so worried about gassing out. like how in the world did froch win round 11? i know he landed one good right hand early on but then taylor started landing everything on him the last 2 minutes while dead tired lol. round 8? no one did anything till the last 15 seconds when taylor hurt him badly and almost put him down. pity round maybe cause hes a toughguy?
I gave Froch round 2 (just about) and from round 8 to 12. There was a 10-10 round in there for me as well, i think it was round 6 or 7...cant remember...
I had it close but i think he out worked Taylor, round 2 could have gone either way IMO.
1 - T
2 - F
3 - T (10-8)
4 - T
5 - T
6 - T (maybe the 10-10)
7 - T (maybe the 10-10)
8 - F
9 - F
10 - F
11 - F
12 - F (if he didnt get the KO)
Taylor was leading and some rounds were quite close. But Froch was in America and was not going to be done any favours, so JT was ahead until being KO'ed.
He could have spoiled a bit by holding on, to buy time but he didnt have the no how. Unlike BH and Hatton and a few other people. It ended with Froch chasing JT around the ring.

No you are not alone I gave Froch rounds 6 thru 12. I had froch up at the time of the KO by 2. In my opinion the majority of the 2nd half of the fight, taylor was not throwing and connecting enough for him to win rounds.

I agree. Froch won some rounds but if that 12th round miracle never happend. Taylor would have easily won by decision.
The 'bottom line' is that, even though people sometimes forget it, the judges' scorecards are no more than tie-breakers if a fight isn't settled by one fighter being stopped. Here one fighter was stopped. End of.
2 of the judges had it by at least 3 points so w/out the ko Froch would have lost. He was not terrible but Taylor gave him every opportunity to win...he took the opportunity and it paid off.

I think Froch won 4 rounds at best. Taylor really did work him over for the first 7 or so rounds, and then it began to close up. Froch landed about 1 or 2 good shots until late in the fight, and the skill difference was HUGE. But Froch did what he needed to do to win, and he did. But I cant understand how anyone can call the guy world class when he loses a whole fight, gets dropped and pulls his ass out of a loss with a last second KO. He won, but he also lost more rounds and was dropped himself and on his way to a loss (should have been by UD) had he not stopped Taylor. I have no favorite here, I didnt even root for one guy over the other, but the fight was clear as day.
People can say it was pretty close or not close at all but without that ko, he does not win the fight...bottom line.

He was always in the fight, especially after the 6th round, the danger signs were there for all to see after 6 because Froch started to let his hands go more and Taylor's punch output started to drop, Froch's right hand was getting through more and more frequently as the rounds went on so he was always in the fight. Don't see a way he was ahead on the cards going into round 12 though.
Taylor was completely outclassing Froch until he ran out of gas.
Are you saying he ran out of gas in the 4th or 5th round? That's pretty poor stamina right there.
The fight in my eyes was, in the end, a close one. If Taylor had survived til the final bell in the last round I had JT up by 7 to 5, each fighter with a KD. It took Froch a while to find his feet in the fight and Taylor started quick as ever, but to say the fight swung purely on Taylor's inability to go 12 rounds would detract from Froch's performance (and own stamina and condition). Perhaps if Taylor would learn to pace himself better in fights, the first rounds would have been split, who knows.
In the end, the guy with more heart and desire won, I don't think class comes into it because these guys were no different in that department.
I dont think he was outclassed, but he was losing until the 12th. It was a close fight.

I think I had something like Taylor winning the first 3 rounds, the 4th was 10-10, and then I gave Froch every single round after that. Some rounds were no doubt close but he was more then holding his own and I had him up by 4 going into the 12th
I had it 8-4, but who cares froch won but he did show that he can't box for shit. He wasn't suppose to be the more talented guy in the ring, and he clearly show that where he lacks in talent he makes up with heart and determination. But yes, he was getting out-boxed and this fight was not close as in rounds wise, but little by little froch was breaking taylor down near the end of the fight where taylor always is known to have stamina issues.

Yeah it's kind of ridiculous what a lot of people here are saying. From them you would think it was a Foreman Moore type of a fight, and it wasn't. Personally I had it 6 rounds to 5 for Taylor at the time of the stoppage, which means that if Taylor were to survive I would have had the fight a draw.
Dan Rafeal is a known Taylor cum guzzler so his opinion doesn't count.
I felt Taylor would've won if he would've stayed up the last round but i would say 7-4 or 6-5 Taylor until the last heat.
Yea, that's about right. I mean it was a close fight, but I've even been seeing people on here saying that Froch was getting outclassed up until the stoppage.
