I believe both were underdogs in both fights. Calzaghe clearly beat Eubank by decision, while Froch had to come from behind to beat taylor by knocking him out in the 12th round.
Yes I know I ****ed up the poll by typing too fast...
he didn't just beat him he knocked the bum out. prime leonard would have no chance either. remember this was an old camacho as well. prime
Calzaghe could only dream of knocking out a legend like Leonard instead he can only dismantle former contender losers like Manfraudo.
He beat Ray Leonard so IMO he has a better resume than Calzaghe.
Leonard>>>>Hopkins
he didn't just beat him he knocked the bum out. prime leonard would have no chance either. remember this camacho was no spring chicken himself!
You are delusional mate.
Hopkins is 44, he himself was a MW most of his his career. If he wants "Credit", then he should have moved to face Hopkins or Roy Jones in 2001-2004, but he was set on staying in the UK all that time. Until, of course, Roy Jones and Hopkins were going to retire due to old age. Then suddenly Joe's "Fear of Flying" was suddenly cured
Thats amazing, even at hopkins old age. He beat the likes of wright, tarver, and pavlik... That is one bad ass old man. And yes, I know he was like 43 or 42 for some of those fights but he was still an old man for those fights. And Calzaghe and Roy aren't spring chickens themselves.
Calzaghe deserves alot of credit for moving up a weight class and his first challenge was the champion of that division Hopkins.

I wasnt really impressed with Froch's win over Taylor. That fight showed me more about the great skills and yet pathetic flaws that Taylor has!!! Calzaghe beat a past prime Eubank so eh but well he did take adavantage and completely dominate him so i would say his win is more impressive!

I have no idea why you would quote my post and then say that. It is completely unrelated to what my post was about.
for people who score clean accurate punching hopkins won
for people who score moving your hands and pretending to hit someone calzaghe won. if he was trying to hit hopkins and just couldn't than all the more credit to hopkins for not getting hit for 12 full rounds.
how can you call me blind when you haven't even watched the fight closely. "he's moving his hands he must be winning!" but the hardest part and probably themost important part in boxing is actually hitting your opponent.
That is the criteria I use. What is wrong with that?
You can't score fights. Anyone who thinks Hopkins beat Joe are blind.

Carl Thompson is no joke, he did stop David Haye. So, Carl Thompson is clearly an intelligent fighter. David Haye is a good fighter, even if he loses to Wlad like I believe he will.
Thompson was a legitimate, tough cruiserweight. He wasn't the best guy around but Eubank doing what he did was very impressive.
On a side note, I actually had Eubank winning the first fight and had him leading the second before the stoppage, which should prove that he wasn't shot.
Let's see what Taylor does from here first, Eubank went on and had 2 very competitve fights at cruiserweight against Carl Thompson.
Silencer agrees with me, so now who makes foolish posts?
