I've started boxing very casually.
I'm not in the greatest of shape, but I do workout a bit.
Right now I walk around at 162. I'm 5'8, and in the past weighed as much as 190.
I think with some effort I would be able to make 135, then Rehydrate back into the 150's? I got into an argument with a friend of mine who said my natural weight would be Welterweight.
Anyway recent picture below, just taken about 5 minutes ago (yes I'm well aware I'm not the fittest person on earth. I acknowledge I still have work to do, and am still soft in areas).

you can go either way. heavy cardio, light weights with tons of reps and become super-cut @ 135-140. losing 30 pounds might seem like a lot for someone who walks around 160 but after the first 10 are shedded it won't seem that bad. OR you can start taking cellmass or another creatine based supplement and hit the weights. you'll most likely gain some water weight, along with some lean muscle mass so you won't see any weight loss until you've stopped the cycle. after that, with the help of the added muscle, your metabolism will be high and you can be just as conditioned as you would be @ 135 but with the added mass you can be a more solid 140-147
Thanks for the great insight.
Right now I am taking Creatine, along with BCAA and Protein Supplements. I've taken the approach to lift heavy with minimal reps, to build more mass, then having the option to shred the weight afterward.
I'm not going to post a topless pic of myself on the internet. Besides, I don't need to prove anything to you.
You lose either way, if you are in fact the guy in the pics, you look like shit, and you're probably a terrible puncher with so little muscle mass (muscle mass as in functional muscle fibers) or if you are joking using that poor bokes pic, then you're just a bum.
It's apparent your only purpose in this thread was to flame. You haven't addressed the topic at hand, in ANY of your posts, all you have done is attacked me for no reason at all.
Welcome to my ignore list.
So I take it you won't post any pictures of yourself?

if ur doing this casually? 147 would be a good weight. You prob think thats a small welterweight, but in reality its not. Small for a world class welterweight maybe...but for a casual welterweight....pretty good size.
True.
But consider that I'm not in fighting condition right now, I still have weight to lose. I would like to lose another 10lbs or so of excess fat, which would bring my walk around weight at 152.
Shut up, you know you're just using some retard's photo to joke around. got anything else better to do?

I walk around at 140, im 5"10, how much do you think i could get down through dehydration?
5'10" and 140 as your walk around weight, that's really light. That's Diego Corrales'ish, since you're on the super light side already, I don't see you being able to dehydrate that much. 130? 126 Maybe?
Hard to say without seeing a picture.
Whatever man.
I never claimed to be cut. I pointed that out in my first post, but to say I'm as flat as an "anorexic chick" is insulting.
Since you're so quick to judge, may we please see a topless picture of yourself?

Okay, now I know this thread is just a joke.

Although I don't have abs, I do have some upper body / chest definition.
And my abs are starting to come through.

Umm.... do you see your body? Its flatter than a anorexic chic. No ab lines whatsoever. You have NO MUSCLE TONE.

complete lack of muscle tone? =( That's a little harsh, I do have SOME definition. I want to shed another 10lbs of excess fat.

Based on your complete lack of muscle tone and receding hairline, i would say that you are either a LW or a JWW.
You look Marquez-ish.

I guess 135 would be a good weight class for you. As long as you don't kill yourself to make weight. It's all good. :D A lightweight rehydrating to the 150s by fight night is a little too much though. :D
Yeah. I'd be a pretty big Lightweight. I think I'd be be able to make it, but you don't know how your body will react if you have never done it before.
Maybe Junior Welter, but I'd be a small Welterweight for sure.
