I was just thinking about the fight and how Marquez will have to jump a couple weight classes. At first i thought it was a major disadvantage, but then i started thinking about it, and Floyd is the type of fighter who's mindset is to outbox you, counter you and make his opponent miss. You rarely see him get physical in the ring. Plus Marquez..though smaller, its not like he's going against Paul Williams or Margarito.
And its not that Mayweather will have all these physical advantages over JMM, it will be that JMM's ABILITY will be VOIDED by all the WEIGHT has has to GEIN in order to fight.
Weight + Mass = - Speed.
How is a fighter who will be losing speed be able to compete with one of the fastest in the world?
how does adding two positives equate to a negative?
:luvbed:
Hes not going to come out pushing and swinging like Mayorga....hes going to teach JMM what a true counter-punching box is.....hes going to get his rounds in then KO him...
so JMM is not a true counter puncher :lol1:
im finding it harder and harder to take you seriously around here.
I agree. the thing with Mayweather is he's a boxer first, a boxer second and a boxer third. His goal is to outbox you. You rarely see him rough house. He's not like a Hopkins at middleweight or a Hatton at 140 who really impose themselves on their opponents physically.
i think he can do that if he feels it's beneficial to him though (see: the Hatton fight for a recent example)
i don't mean get involved in a brawl or anything... but to nullify the opponent inside while maintaining his own offense is certainly within his skillset
What kind of formula is that???
You mean
Force = Mass * Speed
way to delete the minus sign. i like how you always have to edit shit to try to make me look bad.
Floyd is going to use his physical advantages,like he's never used them before,I bet floyd fights agressive and makes this fight look like Hatton-Castillo!!!Then claims he's back in fine form and would have done that to anyone!!
the power advantage that comes with being bigger will obviously be utilised, as will his abilty to take the smaller man's punches
i don't imagine the fight will involve much clinching or inside work but i'm sure Floyd will impose himself there if he has to
