his biggest challenge was his last fight with Ricky Hatton and Ricky fought at 147. The rest are a bunch of hasbeens or guys that will never be consider superstars. ...umm, that.

8/10.he has some great names on his resume and hes beaten everyone he fought u cant ask much more than that

A decent resume which I could give an 8 but he could have fought more top opposition at Welterweight. At Welterweight he could have gotten: Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, or Williams. At Junior Welterweight he could have fought: Hatton (Junior Welter version) or Tszyu. At Lightweight, there were also interesting matchups: Freitas or Casamayor. Nonetheless, Floyd has a good resume.

For quality of opponents id say about a 6. I dont rate chico and JLC as top elite class like others do, good wins but not WOW. From 2004 this is a list of his opponents DeMarcus Chorley Henry Bruseles Arturo Gatti Shramba Mitchell Zab Judah Baldomir De la hoya Hatton To be honest hatton at 147 is proven not great, de la hoya was good but he was a bit shot at that stage and the rest, well :no: His cv at before 2004 is a bit better but for his talent it should be A LOT better imo :wave:

very good. could have been very great. imagine if floyd could have gotten a fight made with freitas and casamayor at 130 , spadafora at 135 , kostya at 140 , cotto , marg and shane at 147? floyd could have won all those fights. not saying he would have but he could have. add freitas , casa , spada , kostya , cotto , marg and shane to genaro , castillo , corrales , gatti , zab , hatton and delahoya. wow! :scared: yeah i know huh!? but imagine tua's record if he woulda fought tyson, mcbride, bowe, golota, haye, and holyfield.... Tua = GOAT HEAVYWEIGHT

I give it an 8...add Pac and Cotto to it a 10 I don't think it would be a 10 with Pac and Cotto on it, there are a select few that get number 10 status IMO like SRR, Ali, Leonard. Mayweather will definately be a 9 though if he beats Cotto and Shane...

I would join those who say: "It could be much better"... He had money fights, he had easy fights, he had fights with good fighters, but there were few good champions... He had few tough fights, not because he was so good, but because the opposition wasn`t the best... He did what he had to do: he was winning, coming up and winning again, but the point is he could do it the other way...

Chavez isn't Julio Cesar chavez no body knows these guys out from mexico. Genaro Hernnadez that fight was a decade a good fighter, but wasn't much of a puncher. De Lahoya took care of him before Mayweather. Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez are greater boxers. i agree. corrales , castillo and genaro were all great fighters and great wins but they're not on the level of marquez let alone barrera and morales.

If Mayweather beat Cotto, Clottey, Williams and Mosley that would make an awsome resume

He could have had a sooo much better resume if he kept fighting

SSM is past it, people need to understand that, anyone could look great against Margarito, nothing against Shane but really...Cotto is more worth it then Shane Anyone could look great against Margarito, but Floyd should fight Cotto who lost to Margarito? You Floyd nuthuggers are so predictable.

I wonder if things would have been different with less pay and fighters being more active. I don't think he had the patience to wait on anybody. His goal was set and he kept moving towards that Goal....O$CAR and if $hane was there, he would have taken him too. He needs to fight Cotto, that's for sure. And if he can, Pac and Shane unless one of them loses before-hand which is the same for Cotto if he doesn't beat Clottey.

Very good, but like most people say could have been 4x the resume it is now. If he had Freitas, Casamayor, Kostya, Shane, Margarito, Cotto and even Forrest at 154 (he could have beaten the Forrest that fought Mora in the 1st match) then his resume would be incredible and they are all very winnable fights for him.
