Too much for Hopkins..he couldn cope with Joes pressure...how wil he cope with this southpaws pressure...and unlike Joe Paul hits HARD.
11-1....8 by KO against southpaws......most fighters struggle against southpaws.......Hopkins thrives against them :boxing:
Joe's chin and mental toughness got him the W.....2 things P-Dub hasnt shown yet!!
Hopkins hands down
Dont know if he wud knock him out cause he seems to avoid taking risks as we saw in the pavlik, calzaghe, tarver and taylor fights where the knockout was sometimes there if he was willing to take the chance and let his hands go more..
Theres 2 much of a void in skill level..
i haven't heard anything by williams saying he wants bernard, iv heard him say he wants joe at 168 (which is a little bit unrealistic as joe is now a legit 175 if anything), iv also heard hi call out pavlik, arbraham and kirkland but iv never heard anything about bernard.
i wouldn't be surprised if bernard us the one got in touch with williams team about a potential bout.
i haven't heard anything by williams calling out anyone, the only guy hes called out is calzaghe at 168.
calling out smaller fighters is something that is bernards speciality.
He's been saying it since last year.... he "called out" Hopkins, Joe, Pavlik and Mosley.
Either way, no reason to accuse Hopkins when he has not done anything, and for all we know, has not even noticed
Do you have difficulty reading?
Williams is calling out Hopkins.

why doesn't b-hop go and take on people who are closer to his weight class - wtf is wrong with this ******?!?! does he purposefully try and fight as many (ex) welterweights as possible? the likes of kessler and dawson are much better, even fights for b-hop so go after them - silly ******.
if williams was to put on the weight and weigh in on fight night between 180-185 then he would comfortably win. but he shouldn't have to do that because b-hop should be fighting people his own size.

he's not???? the kid throws 100 punches per round on average. wtf do you call that, a lame duck. back to the topic on hand. B-hop is my dogg, but PW is making a name for himself now and that pressure punching will have him win a close split decision on points.
:boxing::boxing::boxing:
His punches may look nicer, but it's not just punches that makes you a pressure fighter. It's footwork too, and Calzaghe dances and moves better than fools realize. It's tough and tiring having a man with a high work rate swarming you (punches and slaps alike) that has great head movement and footwork. Paul improved much and adapted for his last fight, but he's still open, and will be there all day for the counter right from Bernard.
.,,..... but he's not the pressure fighter that Calzaghe is. .

this fight would have to happen at 168 not 175.
hopkins is crafty but old, and crafty but old doesn't beat 1000 punches a round.
Does Paul really wanna leave himself that wide open against a counter puncher as big as BHop? He moved well and clinched well against Winky, but he's not the pressure fighter that Calzaghe is. And Hopkins is more aggressive now, also Hopkins is a little more comfortable on the inside than the Winkster.
You guys are gettin outta hand. The kid proved to be a monster against winky, but he really haven't seen him against a legit solid middleweight, much less a legit legend at 175. Winky looked alright that night, but he never had power and his accuracy defense was somewhat off. Paul impressed the **** out of me, but not enough to say he starts dominating 175, 2 divisions above where he last fought, 4 above where he holds a title. BHop is too accurate, intelligent, and powerful for the likes of Paul. Give Paul a couple years before you put him against top LHWs.

I doubt Hopkins can make 160 anymore. I mean he was apparently weight draining heavily by the time he got to Taylor, and that was 4 years ago.
168+, I give the edge to Hopkins.
Williams is to inexperienced.
As for "outwork" him like Joe. Joe did nothing but slap around. Williams is better than that, and in books, Williams has already surpassed Calzaghe in terms of achievement.
Nahh I'd give Calzaghe a big edge over Williams. Not only do I think he has a better legacy, but I think if he came back correct and took a warmup he'd still be able to beat Williams at 170. If Paul keeps on spanking fools in diff weight classes though, he may definitely be surpassing Zaggy.

williams will outwork him like calzaghe did jones
i don't think williams is as quick as calzaghe. calzaghe is has faster hands--he has quicker feet too.
hopkins by a UD at 175lb
i think dawson can beat him too.
