Why is a fighter called chinny after 1 knockout loss or even being knocked down once or even worse it now seems if a fighter gets rocked in a fight he's chinny.
The number of people who call Hatton chinny is stupid, he's been knocked down twice in his career and one of those was a ko after he had taken god knows how many clean shots. He then gets rocked against Lazcano but recovers fine and suddenly he has a poor chin? That's 2 incidents in 40+ fights, i mean for someone who's defence aint brilliant and comes forward all the time that isn't bad.
Even heard someone saying Margs chin is poor after Sugar SM destroyed him.
It's getting as bad as people dismissing anyone with a L on the record.
Paul Briggs knocked down adamek..Segundo Mercado knocked down Hopkins, but i guess that makes them chinny too
I wasn't suggesting Hatton was chinny in the first place. Just correcting the thread starter.
His punch resistance is erroding eh? He was clobbered by big shots off a bigger man in floyd, and against lazscano he was wobbled slightly, and on that basis Hatton is glass Jawed?
i'm not making him out to be Amir Khan status... but i don't think his chin is what it was
and he will get hit against Pacman; so it'll be a telling factor
yea i am, and some in the forum think pac has the power to knock king kong out too, if you listen to them.
As a reasonable boxing fan, there should be more questions about how will pac take hatton's punches then the other way around imo
stats are cool but sometimes you gotta use your own intuition and experience to spot tells and decide for yourself
i just see Hatton's punch resistance eroding, and i think it'll be his downfall against Pacman
but i guess the debate'll be settled come fight night eh
exactly...guys been down only 3 times in his carear....and 2 of those were against arguable the best fighter of the generation in maywether....its nonesense to say hatton is "chinny"....a bigger question will be how will pac hold up after he is caught with a bomb on the chin from hatton?
