Dunno how much people outside of the UK have heard of this guy and if you are aware of him....forget when people talk about Tyson Fury and Amir Khan being the future of British Boxing, this guy is the next logical people's boxer.
Expect him to break through to the world scene soon and my fellow brits to be raving about him and Haye instead of our current crop of boxers heading towards the end of their careers.
I do love the guy when he's not wasting his time duffing up paps - it's the weasel older brother I can't stand.
Speaking of Phil Mitchell. Didn't Steve McFadden used to hang around Oasis gigs throwing the two-fingered salute to get noticed?
Rocky., this is why it jars slightly when fellas like Chunk suddenly jump out the woodwork and start proclaiming him 'the future' as soon as he gets a couple of spectacular early KO wins in British title fights...especially when you've seen him doing good, steady work for time with none of the fanfare. All of a sudden he starts to look like a hypejob. But I love Kell, he has the particular type of X Factor that excites me, I've been watching him and talking about him to mates of mine for a while now, so I personally can't help getting a bit excited about him.
But this note of caution...
...is a wise one. There's still plenty of work to be done on him. But I genuinely believe he's the goods, if he keeps working and developing.
Just my opinion. Obviously it's still early days, but there's so much promise in the lad.
The best thing about Brook though is he hits people right on the button. That's an art, and in the heat of battle: that can't be taught.
He must have hit Barrie Jones flush on the chin about 20 times in that fight. I don't think he is a concussive banger at all, he's supremely accurate and poised - that's why he is special.
We don't know if he can take a shot though, which is where it usually all falls down. He takes risks so he will be clipped at some point.
He reminds me a lot of Jean Pascal, I don't like how he keeps his chin hanging in the air. I haven't seen too many of his fights but I'll be watching in the future.
after they've been taken down.

(sorry, I couldn't resist the dig)
Gotta luv the effort of him though....rock n roll's Phil Mitchell
Kell Brook is one of my favourite prospects in any country. I'd be a big fan even if he wasn't British. The kid is exciting to watch and has bags of talent. Time will tell whether he'll be the next Prince Naseem (although with a better head on his shoulders) or the next Herol Graham.
khan is a KTFO waiting to happen but fighters like kell brook need to be seriously considered, this guy is a very good fighter, he can pick his shots very well, is strong and a good puncher and is well above the domestic level.
would love to see him in the ring with jennings or matthew hatton soon enough. the problem is with warren as a promoter he will be bought along at a slower pace than he should be.
We will soon see. I dont see any decent Hispanic prospect welterweights on the scene. Kell brook is going to dominate everyone from 147 154 for years to come.:boxing:
I agree with the posters on here who say he looks a little small for 147, especially compared to the freaks in that division.
He should nip down to 140, Dominic Ingle said it was possible. He'd be bigger there and he would carry an even greater KO threat. He'd also have Victor Ortiz and potentially Amir Khan to aim for.
Riz, Seriously this guy is actually good...Has good power, Can box and has a touch of Naz about him (Same trainer) but he is level headed from what i could see and if enough hardwork and dedication he could really make a name for himself.
LOL i'll look him up. i just wanted to start an e-riot for no reason whatsoever.
i keep hearing about him, maybe he wont get exposed like Khan - the world awaits.
yet another brit ready to get pwned by an american or a hispanic fighter
