Well Khan didn't, but Warren moved Khan up as Warren understands hes got no chance against JMM. Kotlenik is a very paitent fighter, picks his shots and just defends but this will be pointless against Khan as Khan is super-fast, possibly the fastest boxer in the sport nowadays. Thoughts?
He didnt move to avoid nobody.
Do you idiots think he would of got a fight with JMM? get real people.
he moves because he is taking on a supously weak Champ(wich Kotelnik isnt, he is tough) and too see if his chin is better at that weight, because he is getting rocked too damn much.
Stop hating the guy, is not his fault that he gets all this BS hype by british media!!!!!!
Wow thank you very much, For someone that isnt a brit i really really applaud you for your well thought out post...I agree with every single word...every word.
i dont see khan actually becoming a good champion....he moved up to dodge a rematch with barrera because he knows and im sure everybody else knows that if barrera wouldnt have gotten that cut he wouldve killed khan.....yeah he is fast and he was beating barrera but barrera is a warrior and he would have knocked him out in the later rounds
@at the guy who said kotlenik will win
Kotlenik struggled against a 5ft 2 guy in GAVIN REES (dunno why boxrec has him as 5ft 7 as thats a lie)! who can't even knock out his grandma... gavin rees has a good work-rate, is very fast I must admit and Kotlenik acted as I said he did.
I would have bet Scott 200k on a Khan win, but I dont think he would have gone for it!
i was the under impression he moved up to avoid Valero and get a nice, easy title shot (something he won't find in LW)
Yeah hes also after a big money fight with Hatton, trying to get him to come to him with a world title.

:S can Khan really be called for dodging apponents, he's preety much at the start of his career hes not a World champion sitting on mandatories (yet :P ). Fair play to him being able to get a title shot already, but I would of liked to see him in a rematch with Bredis first.
He moved up to avoid Valero and JMM both.
well thats obvious. it would be stupid to put khan in against them with his chin....boxings a buinsess not a sport
Kotelnik will stop Khan. This fight will be way different than fighting a puffed up 35 y/o lightweight with a severe cut.
I'll bet you 100k Khan will win if you are up for it.
Even with a 137 inch gash on his head, and blood flowing into his eye like a river, Marco managed to stun Khan with a left hook.
And?
Which boxer doesn't get stung by a punch?
In the short term it seems like a good move as he may actually be able to grab a title, but he has no future at 140 with the names there. Pacquiao (won't fight of course), Hatton, JMM, Bradley, Holt, Campbell at the very least all beat him.
