Remember the joke before the Floyd fight  He's getting 2 new sparring partners in , Forrest Gump and Carl Lewis .
But this time, three of his sparring partners are Speedy Gonzales, the Tazmanian Devil and the Roadrunner. Ricky will be fine if he can keep up to these three...
But the way this thread seems to be going, Manny has lost already...
Whoever imposes his will over the other, will have a good chance to take this one. I hope both camps have multiple plans if plan A doesn't pan out. A good give-and-take tussle has the makings of a classic, hope this scuffle falls into that category, for my $49.95+++ sake...
like you bro i think this fight is a lot closer than most people think, but I could also see the possibility if either of them imposing their will on the other...
and I am expecting to see a GREAT FIGHT!!
Another Vid
Still sitting a little too much on his power punches... Not all that fluid although Floyd really put some work in Ricky, you can tell some stuff of old there.

Ricky said he's had 5 sparring partners this week - you can tell from the markings on his face. At least he's getting a tough work out before the fight - the same can't be said about Manny. Anyone else think he sounds as if he's got a bit of a cold though??
its the vegas air....high altitude...he will be fine by next week

wow, so I bet you feel the old timers were much better then today's boxers?.....well actually the filipinos have some good up and comers after pacquiao....yea i just think this whole fight throws conventional wisdom out the door...oh and if there is a ko....i think the loser will have to get ko'd cold....both these guys wont quit imo
Back in the days, the best fights the best. There might be an easy mandatory every now and then, but the fight, boxing pundits wants to see almost always gets made. Belts nowadays don't mean diddly squat, they're a dime a dozen. It's all about the Benjamins today. The bigger the name (and fanbase) a boxer gets, the more the value of the alphabet soups (sic) belt goes down to his priorities. I can't blame the boxers though, with all the f**k-ups the sanctioning bodies been doing on a consistent basis lately, they ain't called the suctioning bodies for nothing I guess...
I may be a Filipino who just happens to migrate here in the US 5 years ago, but I'm a boxing fan first and foremost, it just so happen that one of my countryman is doing good, so it was a plus. I've been an avid boxing fan since I was 9 years old, and that was many, many moons ago! If my memory serves me right, the Vietnam war was still going on and Dick was the US president! lol

no gopi is a cool cat, he has good post on here....i just see the winner by decision been my gut instinct since the fight was announced...and i'm also saying that because nobody else thinks it will go to decision...but could go either way

i hate 2 disagree with you because u really know ur stuff but i cant see it going the distance
good i agree,it depends how each fighter fights

Nope! I still say this one's a toss-up...

well i still think it goes longer then 8....and that if somebody does get KO'd it will be very late....i still think the winner is by decsion...imo
I hope its not by decision, as if it goes the distance Hatton's chances aren't great - we all know Manny has the skills to win on points against Hatton. I genuinely believe that Manny won't be able to trouble Hatton at this weight, whereas Ricky will definitely trouble Manny. I think Ricky will hit Manny hard early in the fight and Pac's confidence will plummet. Ricky will pressurise like he always does and catch him to the body or head with a KO shot rounds 4-6. :boxing:
I get the feeling Hatton really wants to prove his haters wrong and show that he can box and is not a 1 dimensional brawler. His earlier fights showed this and his last fight showed the beginnings of something new, so I think he will be determined not to revert back to hugging all the time.
i think roach and pacquioo plan to stay in the middle of the ring and box hatton for about 4 rounds (despite wot roach says) 2 try and show hatton that he cant outbox manny, hoping he will start mauling and brawling.i also think as long as hatton doesnt get hit 2 much he will rough him up a bit
