"6 pounds of water DOESNT make you bigger"
Until it is pushing you around the ring. Height cannot do that.
Give it up and save a sminge of face. Hatton will be the biggest guy.
not if hatton comes in under 150 lbs on fight night.... then pac will be as strong as hatton

The taller guy leaning on the smaller guy all night doesnt give you an edge?
You know SHIT about this sport, braindead.
oscar is bigger then Hatton, regardless of 6 pounds.
listen peanut. A guy 6 4" that weighs 168 in boxing terms is smaller than a guy that is 5 10" and 175lbs.
Hatton is correct in what he is saying.
stop making comparisons that dont match up to Hatton Oscar...
Oscar has every single measurement advantage... from his arms to his chest, his neck, his legs, his back, his height... EVERYTHING....
6 pounds of water DOESNT make you bigger...
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
this shit is going to go on until hatton's face is scraped off of the canvas on may 2nd
This thread is hurting my head.
I don't think it can resolved.
This could run and run.
That is why I separated the arguments.
1) hatton will be heavier than goldie was
2) hatton will be stronger than goldie was
That being said, I disagree that "strength has nothing to do with size"; strength is closely correlated with size. Goldie lost her strength because she lost too much weight.
Cotto has been stronger since he put on weight.
Byrd lost strength when he lost too much weight.
Nahmean?
were talking about the frame of a person.. not stamina, speed, strength, chin, jab, or bodywork...
the SIZE of a person...
But what advantages did Oscar actually carry with his naturally bigger frame?
Hatton will be have the size/strength to worry Pac. So little Richard, has a right to say what he is saying.
Were not talking about strength.. Oscar is a bigger human being then Ricky Hatton, period.
Every measurement of Oscar is bigger then Hattons.
Even with the 6 pound re hydration.
measurements define how "BIG" someone is...
James Toney is NOT "Bigger" then Evander Holyfield...
but he is heavier.

heaviest. period. shitdead.

Seen as boxing and its classes are defined by weight and only weight id say you are right making Hatton the biggest guy Pac has fought.

In terms of size, height etc, it's obviously Oscar De La Hoya, no matter what.. BUT, Hatton WILL be a bigger mouthful that Oscar, seeing how Hatton won't just stand there with no footwork and take punishment.. Hatton will be quick on his feet and not a walkover.
I said yes.
But I was thinking more in terms of size=strength, which wouldn't be hard. Oscar looked like he had just drank two litres of bleach when he entered the ring against Pac.
Reezy,
part of what i consider "bigness" is strength. Oscar's little spindly legs and fear of a punch that night means that not only will Hatton be HEAVIER (classical boxing definition of big), but he will be STRONGER (functional definition of big) than Goldie was.

strength has nothing to do with size and measurements...
