This is a good match. You guys have got it all wrong. You are hating simply because it involves the WBA belt.
HOWEVER,
if you ignore the WBA belt. Take that out of the equation, THEN you have a very good and credible opponant in Kotelnik. Just a few fights ago, everyone was banging on about how Khan should be fighting Gavin Rees or how if Khan got into the ring with Rees, Rees would batter Khan. Kotelnik killed Rees off.
Kotelnik is an experienced campaigner (with about 30 or so fights?).
So, I urge everyone to take a step back. Put a side your racist (if that way inclined) or ignorant (if that way inclined) views. Ignore the fight will involve a belt. Forget that if Khan wins he will become a "world champion" and just see this as a fight between Khan and Kotelnik and you have a very good and acceptable fight for Khan.
Its not a bad fight for him, but kotelnik is not as good as any of the top 10 LW's. So people feel like he's always going for the easy options. Its only his 22nd fight so it's not too bad.
It's very very quick considering it's only his 22's bout.

I know alot of American posters here are dismissive of Euro fighters. If you are one of these people who see boxing as being divided into two camps: Euro and American level-it still has to be accepted that Andreas Kotelnik is a very good Euro level fighter and an excellent test for Khan.
I agree totally. Kotelnik is a huge step up for Khan, and is also a step up in weight, which I've always wanted to see. I think Khan may be draining a bit at Lightweight, he's huge at the weight and has a very very low Body Fat %, which may affect his chin somewhat. It's a very good fight.
Good post.
Unfortunately, it seems people just dont want to know. They got it fixed in their mind Khan is ducking and dont want to consider anything else.
