So I noticed a lot of my british pals mentioned SAS Soldiers in my thread "can a boxer take it to a navy seal?"
What's the big deal with the SAS and why do i hear people insisting that they're the best in the entire world and make SEALs look like pussies. Is there a valid point or is it just jealousy?
so who takes it????????????

Natgeo did a test where 10 US Rangers took SAS training and 10 SAS took Rangers selection training.
The full results were not disclosed but less than 1 Ranger would have been selected for the SAS.
midgets are allowed in the militri (spelled like that on purpose), mate?
Because you're fat.
No one likes fat people.
have you been following me?
Most other special forces either try to emulate or actually train with the Special Air Service. They are the model for other countries to follow, so IMO, they are the best special forces regiment in the world. As far as individuals, it's impossible to compare as I'm sure any elite/special forces soldier is trained to the level of a world class athlete. Navy SEALS are also elite soldiers and I'm glad they are on the same side, so we will never have to find out who is better.
They are both deadly and you sure a hell don't want to **** with either of them. Seals and Sas are pretty much equal, both training regiments are brutal and their tactics are pretty much the same.
come on SAS are the best in the world, read andy mcnabbs book apparently its amazing, hes the only survivor from his squad. the religious one comitted suicide when he left the SAS, one of them got shot and cant remember bout the other. but SAS rule!!!
I'm just about to go into military training for the british army so i have been getting an insight into their training and its tough stuff, as i'm sure the Navy Seals/ Delta Force's training is, each force around the world have individuals who are better than others. At the end of the day the UK and US forces are fighting together, in arms. Bottom line- I wouldn't wanna **** with any of them!!!
the amercians in genral are bloody awful at war! they really are!
the navy seals just seem to scream and shout "hoo raa" every other word!
the SAS get tortured in there training ffs! i would want them to save me over the seals anyday!
Answers like this are amazing.
I hate to bump this thread at all, but it is really a rather retarded conversation. They are all elite soldiers. Also from what I have read the Russians are actually trained in the most intense, although brutal, manner.
Those Israeli Special Forces dudes are nothing to fuck with. My vote would go for them hands down if they were to ever be mentioned.
israel has some of the best military forces in the world, if not the best to be totally honest.
they have some horrible ones, mostly frigates, we wrote clean me in the rust on one once. but yeah they have decent ones too, and are building more
yeah, thats funny lol... and im sure the brits have some good boats out there..
American Seal and Delta teams are modeled and cross train with SAS and other special forces.
I would say that the only differences in them would be as negibile as the differences between 2 SAS soldiers or the difference between two Seal soldiers.
The countries that suffer from poor special forces are those that lack the resources to train, equip and maintain them. I doubt there is much of a difference between KSK, Spetnaz and other G8 countries.
The one force I would say is probably best is Israel's Sayeret Matkal also known as The Unit. Even then I would say it's probably do to them being more active and their individual members probably more REAL non-training experience.
The Royal Navy is the second-largest navy of the NATO alliance, in terms of the combined displacement of its fleet, after the United States Navy. There are currently 89 commissioned ships in the Royal Navy, including aircraft carriers, a helicopter carrier, landing platform docks, ballistic missile submarines, nuclear fleet submarines, guided missile destroyers, frigates, mine counter-measures and patrol vessels. There are also the support of 16 vessels of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary. The Royal Navy's ability to project power globally is considered second only to the U.S. Navy.
good post... just the ships i saw in the british navy were pieces of shit.. im sure they have other good ones, RELAX..
